It's like my birthday
So, opening boxes I haven't touched in 7 monthes is like Christmas or my birthday! It's awesome! I'm finding all my pots and pans and measuring cups and silverware! But then I find that I need more things. Like a microwave... Every place we've lived has provided a microwave... I know I had one when I first moved to Colorado... Not sure what happened to it.
So, we finally go the PC hooked up, and I'm going thru my Favorites, and there is some OLD stuff, like waterfall maps of Colorado, and duck hunting maps, that I have to delete. Yeah, it's about time I said goodbye to all that.
Also with new things going on : both Shark and I are sick. Yup. We're just a bunch of sick-o's. Shark started with a cold earlier this week, and I some how got it too {must be all that kissing we do!}. But for some reason, my colds always come with an onslaught of migraines. Like constant headache! So, all week long I've had just one big solid headache. So yeah, things have been just awesome.... This week we were asked to stay late at the Post to catch up on decorating for Christmas, I was only able to stay half hour later than usualy cuz I threw up! I hate throwing up, and I hate being sick! Hmm... I wonder if it could be caused by all that dang glitter?!
But we had some friends over last night. I cooked up a bunch of chili, and Polo & Smitty brought peanut butter bars {that are freaking amazing!} and we watched The Prestige! I love that movie! Thank you so much for coming over!!
Shark and I have been lazy lately, and he's discovered how to put games on his iPhone. {Oh, so Shark bought me an iPhone a month or so ago, just out of the blue. I let him have it for a few reasons: 1) I just got used to my phone, 2) I paid quite a bit for my phone and 3) his phone is dead so he needed one. Plus the battery on my phone has been tons better!!} So, we've been playing AngryBirds and Cut the Rope. He plays on his iPhone, I play on my iPod... :)
Love to those who think October is just too dang early to be setting up for Christmas... and love to those who have already bought Christmas stuff.... ♥

weekly menus
{{This post was actually created about a week ago, on the 3rd. We finally got internet!!}}
So, I have decided to try something new (yup, just add it to my amazingly LONG list of *new* things!) but this one actually makes sense.... I want to create my meal plans and menus (and shopping trip!!) every 2 weeks. {Yes I understand that things like milk and chocolate pudding will need to be bought more often than that...} So far my menu is :
Monday 9/27------------Tacos
Tuesday 9/28------------Shrimp Primavera
Wednesday 9/29---------Turkey and white bean chili
Thursday 9/30------------Fajitas
Friday 10/1---------------Ravioli marinaera
Saturday 10/2-------------Soup with cresent rolls
Sunday 10/3 --------------Dinner with Shark's family. (Football and Conference!)
Monday 10/4-------------Presto Parmesan
Tuesday 10/5-------------Mac'N'Cheese with Hotdog mummies
Wednesday 10/6---------Garlic mashed potatoes and beef bake
Thursday 10/7------------Homestyle bake
Friday 10/8---------------Shredded bbq chicken sandwiches
Saturday 10/9------------Dine out
Sunday 10/10------------Dinner with Shark's family (Wings at Ang's)
This is how my week went so far! Monday dinner did NOT go as planned, I got home from work with an awful headache, and laid down to go to bed... It was awful! I hate migraines! I wish there was something else I could do, but just cry {yes literally!} in bed in the dark! But last time I went in for the migraines, I came out with new fingerprints on my heart! {And who needs more of those?!} So, I just kind of take the migraines as they come, and as soon as I feel one coming on, I take some Excedrin, and chug a bottle of water. Then Tuesday went as planned, I made dinner after work. I closed pretty much all week, which isn't all bad, Shark gets done with work around 8 and gets home about 1/2 hour after he gets off work.
Thursday I started work at 2, which is different than normal, I usually start work at 12. But Thursday, I babysat Whitney, so Steve & Heather could go to the temple. I had Shark go out and shake my pear tree Wednesday night, so I went and picked a bunch of pears Thursday morning, and then started to peel them, and I got the jars ready. I canned 6 quarts of pears on Thursday morning.
Whitney fell aspleep as soon as she got there, and then we watched Tarzan as I put our movies on our shelf. Then as Steve & Heather came back, they called me outside. There was a hen pheasant walking back and forth along our new fence. I snapped some pictures.
But Thursday at work was a hard day, we were getting ready for the weekend, and it was my 4th day closing in a row, which is pretty rough. I went home with a headache {again!!} and just laid down, and cried {AGAIN!!} in the dark. No supper as planned.
I had Friday off of work, so took my trip down to Ikea. I bought a whole bunch of furniture.{I've been planning out the furniture for my house for a while now, and I didn't buy a single item over $20!!} I bought my end tables, my coffee table, my tv table, our curtains and rods, our lights, and some mirrors. I then went over to Angie's where she showed me how to make safety pin bracelets, which I made into a watchband.
Since this was conference weekend, all the craft stores around are having Ladies Night, and the Post is no different! We had a Ladies Night, with refreshments and giveways, and we have like 5 coupons out right now {or at least we did!} and it was so freaking busy, we had every single employee on the payroll working! It was crazy! I went in to work around 9 and then left around 8:40. We close at 8:30!! It was such a rough day!! But it was fun, there were some pretty fun people there last night!
We're still working on getting the boxes out of the living room, and the kitchen, and my craft room and that random living room-that's-supposed-to-be-a-carport room thing that still has boxes in it. We're working on it... Slowly, but we're doing it. It would be awesome if I could clone myself {sting-blub, anyone have a stung-bulb?!} so I could send my clone to work and I could clean my house!! So far, I'm going to try to work on 1 room at a time, and 1 box at a time... Slow and steady! HA!!
love to those who are still my friends, even tho I don't have internet and haven't checked their blogs in FOREVER!! ♥

back in the swing
So lately I've just felt unsettled. Not restless but not settled. Nothing in particular. I think I felt that way because we weren't really sure where we'd be next month or next year. Yeah I know a year is a ways away but it's still one of those useless things I worry about.
I knew we were safe at Steve & Heather's but we were still unsure of our future. Of what would happen in the next 2 months. For a while there we were pretty unsure of getting the house or not. {People have said there is a calm in my voice they haven't heard in a while.} it seems like we have a direction to go now. It's comforting to know there is a place we can call OURS. (Although, I would like to add, living with family has been wonderful, we really didn't have to worry about much, just washing our clothes pretty much.) Steve & Heather have been wonderful and amazing to let us live there, thank you so so SO much!
Pretty soon Shark and I will be getting off work around the same time now. Which will be nice, cuz then we can sit down and eat dinner together, although it'll be around 8:30pm, at least we'll have dinner together. I'm even in the process of making up a Meal Plan. I know some ladies have a weekly meal plan, I'm hoping to plan mine for 2 weeks, and then go shopping with a big list every 2 weeks. I'm also hoping to stock up and use what I've got. We'll have to see....
Shark and I are no where NEAR being unpacked. But that's one of those things that will take time. Right now, I'm trying to find my dishes. I found most of the food we had packed away. We've also got all of our clothes. I just need Shark to fix the hanger-bars in our closets so I can start hanging it all up! I've also got to find some more shelves and dressers, garage sales here I come. Part of me wishes I had a week with no work just to get the house organized. (Which reminds me, I need to find our alarm clock!)
Also in other news regarding food and my to-do list : I have decided I need to start canning food. That being said, I need to pick up one of those "Canning Starter Kits" from Wal-mart, they've got them there for $10 or something, and it comes with everything I need to can. I'll share in a bit what exactly I'll be canning.... :)
I guess, it really hasn't sunk in yet, or something. Shark and I are still ready to run. I talked to him this morning about it. He said, it feels like we're just waiting for what's happening next. Like waiting for the good times to stop, waiting for the punchline, the devastating disaster to strike, because it feels too good to be true. But really, we're where we're "supposed to be" by the views of "The Others" - we're married, we have a hosue, we both have jobs, we're both mid-20's. I'm just excited to have a place that is officially ours. A place to make ours. A place for our family.
Love to all who haven't let the good times stop. ♥

any other day
Yeah right! So my awesome SIL Heather and I cleaned the whole house. Ok, so she vacuumed, and steam cleaned the carpets, and washed the walls and mopped the floor.... I painted and patched holes in the walls. Like I said, she's freaking awesome!! I just put on a 3rd coat of paint on the wall in our room. :) I'm hoping to post pictures after this weekend when we get most of the stuff moved in and into place. Or it will just be pictures of a green wall and a blue wall.... So, we'll wait until we get most of our stuff in place. But we signed the papers last Tuesday, and funded and recorded it on Friday. Heather and I went to start cleaning on Wednesday, but I didn't start painting until Friday. Until I knew it was for sure ours. We're pretty excited to have our own place. I'm pretty excited to start unpacking. It'll be like Christmas, some of those boxes contain mysteries, I have no idea what is in them, or what I have!
Things at work have been way crazy, as we prepare for Christmas, yes already. We started setting up last week, and already have a few trees decorated. I love Christmas, but I feel I'm already sick of looking at decorations. I'm just glad I'm not interested in buying things for my tree. We've had our blue/black/silver tree for 2 years now, and I'm pretty content with that. Buying red or green glittery ornaments would throw it all off. And I do have enough Christmas decorations that I am NOT interested in buying those either. Halloween on the other hand is a totally different monster itself. I love Halloween, and I would buy everything they have for the holiday, if Shark would let me. But he does not, so I do not. I did buy some decorations, but after buying from the Trading Post and from the Dollar Tree, I've said no more. So I don't buy any more Halloween stuff, but that doesn't stop me from making them!!
Speaking of Christmas, I think I've got a pretty good plan on what I'm going to be doing for presents this year. If I could just get the boys' presents figured out... Why do I always struggle with the boys' presents? Probably because I can't make them a purse or a wallet... Yeah that could be it. But I think I have most of the gifts figured out. Now just to act on my ideas and get started! :) I'm just all around excited about Christmas and gifts, not just receiving them (although I am considering mailing a box to my new address, first to see my new address with our name on it, and secondly because I LOVE GETTING MAIL!) but also giving them. I love seeing the look on people's faces as they open a gift specially for them. It's pretty awesome. But enough about Christmas : HALLOWEEN!! I'm pretty excited about our costume this year. Once I get it all done, I'll post pictures! Yeah!!
I absolutely love my husband. He went hunting this past weekend in Nebraska. Him, Steve and his friend Pickup went, so that left Heather and I as Deer-Widows. So we cleaned my house (without boys or dogs trampling over everything, including the baby) and then we hung out at Denny's late night, like way late, so late, the baby didn't fuss or cry or anything, just blinked at us as she chewed on a celery stick. Then the boys almost got stuck in WY, apparently there was a brush-fire that closed down the highway... If it's not snow and wind, it might as well be fire, right? But they got home just fine, apparently the fire was in the morning, and now one cared to turn off the sign telling drivers I-80 was closed... :)
We're hoping to start moving in some of our stuff over the week, and moving most of it on Saturday. Although, Saturday at 4:30 is a Relief Society activity in my new ward, and I want to go to that. :) We've called enough poeple to come help us, that it shouldn't take very long at all. So excited!!
Love to all who have long-lost stuff they never knew they had until they found it in a box in the garage! (I love YOU ice cream maker!) ♥

Yeah about that...
Ok, so we're still waiting to hear on the house, yeah, still waiting. BUT - I was going to work yesterday and there was a garage sale 2 houses down. I saw they had an upright freezer for $40, I asked Shark and his bro Steve to go take a look, see if Heather wanted it, and if she didn't, then I did! So, we now own a slightly yellow, slightly smelly freezer!! Yayay! If it works, it'll be awesome, cuz Shark and his bro Steve are planning on going bow-hunting this weekend, so now, if deer are shot, there will be a place to put all that venison!! Yay!
Also this weekend, I worked tons! But after work on Friday (I got off work at 6:30) I went up to the House. Our realtor called and wanted to do a walk-thru. I invited Steve and Heather cuz they have never seen the inside. We met our neighbors, very nice people, and they are young too! Everything was fine, and Saturday, Shark put new locks on the doors, cuz none of the previous tenants ever turned in keys!
Shark and I went to our new ward, and some of his friends from high school go to that ward! It's pretty awesome that he knows lots of people all over the place. :)
And pretty sure BOTH my Fantasy Football teams are losing! ugh! But I have Philip Rivers again this year, so hopefully he plays an awesome game tomorrow!!
So yeah, we're still crossing our fingers that things'll happen soon!!
Love to all who have had crossed fingers for months. ♥

Its like waiting at the DMV...
{but with a better possible outcome.....}
AND THEY WON'T CALL MY NUMBER
Yeah, so pretty sure we're still just waiting. Waiting. Waiting. I hate waiting. You can ask Shark how long I actually waited to open my birthday present... or my Christmas present... or basically anything that comes in the mail. {No worries, mom, I still have NOT opened that box you sent, the one that I can't open until we move. I packed it in a box somewhere....}
I'm not good with the whole patient thing. I thought I was. {But you know what Thought did, don't cha?!} I guess I should have realized that I'm not a very patient person. I talk to other cars, tell them to get out of my way, and yes, I am one of those foot-stompers. [Just yesterday I was in teh drive thru line at Panda Express, and the car in front of me got their food and slowly inched away from the window, I said {loudly} OH GET OUT OF MY WAY ALREADY!! and she did, but only after she looked up in her rear-view.... Yeah both our windows were open, oops. But really, I had like 7 minutes to get back to work!!
Wait, it could just be I'm not patient when I've got something to do, or somewhere to be! Yeah, that could be it.... But then how does that explain my opening gifts early. Hmm, well, I'm just excited to see what's in there!! I know it's for me, and I'm already so dang excited for the gift, might as well be more excited and tinkering with my gift!!
This house is like one of those presents, except with a BIG huge NOT YET sign. The hardest thing about it is the YET, it if was just NO, I think I could handle that, but it's the YET part that kills me. It's also the fact that we can't do a dang thing. At least with presents you can hide them from each other, so the NOT YET isn't so hard to handle. But there is nothing we can do to make this go faster. Trying not to think about it or worry about it just makes it harder to not think about it. {You know how when someone says don't think about those cookies, and then all you can think about IS those cookies?!?}
Hmmm, so lately, I have been trying to keep my mind off of the house, and since I packed some of my crafting stuff, I have started playing Lego Batman again. I've almost gotten everything in all the Hero missions, I just need to finish the Hero's and then start working on the Villians, and then I need to find all the hostages... I think I have time.
Hopefully we hear either today or tomorrow what's going down with the house. And for the record, this post did NOT help me NOT think about the house.... Yeah.
Love to those who are foot-stompers. ♥

no brainer
So, I haven't posted in a long time for a few reasons!
1) This house stuff is still going on, and anytime I get to a computer, I have to print, scan, fax and email everything! It's not all bad, tho. Our lender is still shooting to close on the 30th. (Yeah, that's Monday for those who aren't sure what day it is, and yes I had to look that up!)
2) I starteda new job. I am a seasonal merchandising and pricing employee at Tai Pan Trading. Shark calls this place the Trading Post. Smitty's wife, Polo, has worked there for a while, and said they were hiring. They were hiring a while ago, but with everything going on at the City and my not knowing what Tai Pan was, I started working for the City. Man, I really should have gotten into this place a while back! It's pretty awesome!
3) We have to register both of our trucks this month. {No idea who planned it out like that, but it kinds sucks!} So now I'm running around getting this safety inspected, emissions tested, new tires, finding registrations, finding titles, driving down to the DMV. Yeah, things are pretty crazy. I got the big truck registered a 2 weeks ago, and we had hoped that the motorcycle would be up and running so we didn't have to register te little truck for a while, but Shark has been so exhausted with work and getting things going for school... Yeah, plus all the house stuff has taken up most of either of our free time.
4) I've been pretty lazy and tired lately. This house business is really stressing me out. It's like hopping from 1 foot to the other every 13 minutes. {Why 13? Cuz it's not like it's scheduled or anything, it's completely random!} Yes we're getting it, oh, but only if we find this paper from 3 years ago, yay, we're back on! Oh wait, sign this or it all falls apart.... Are the renters out yet? What about insurance? When do we get utilities up? Appraisal? Oh wait, we're accepted thru you guys?! Yes, we have a house... Maybe we have a house... Cross your fingers!! It's been kind of awful, even Shark is stressing, and he doesn't stress! He's been worried lately about the house and if the loan is going thru and what's going to happen, and he never worries. He leaves the worrying to me! Ugh...
5) Plus my headaches just won't seem to fade or go away.... Maybe there is a grandpa Favre correlation... Goodness, I hope not, my headaches will never go away if there is... But seriously, my headaches have been plain awful lately... and it really sucks! I got sleep with a headache, I wake up with the same headache, it's a neverending headache again!
Sorry about not filling everybody in, but we don't want to get everyone's hopes up and than shatter them. I can only handle it for Shark and I. Besides, friends are always asking me, what's going on with the house? And all I can tell them is "We have no idea" or "We just aren't sure, she tells us it's going thru, but we're not sure." So yeah.... Hopefully things get better. We'll know soon.
I'll post pictures soon too, I promise. I have a few pictures of things over the past weeks, but no time (or patience) to upload them...
Love to all who have really really wanted something, and are having THE hardest time getting it!! ♥
{Why 13? Cuz it's not like it's scheduled or anything, it's completely random!} Yes we're getting it, oh, but only if we find this paper from 3 years ago, yay, we're back on! grass and plates
So, I've been trying to not get too excited about the house, because it's still a might (I guess!). I've been trying really hard to not get way excited. I've thinking about furniture and kind of where I want to put things. {Although I can't really put things in places, cuz I haven't seen the inside in a while...) But in the process of doing all kinds of things in my head for the house, and getting ready, I decided to find which ward we'd be in, where we'd be going, and what time. Come to find out, the church is in the parking lot of the schools that are across the street! Yay for walking to church! Our church starts at 9, so that means we'll have plenty of time for a nap, and it still leaves a full day! So happy and excited! I also have an idea : there is this blog turned website called Knock-off Wood, and I am so excited to try and make some of the stuff from her site! My idea is to make some new furniture for our house! I'm trying not to plan too much, cuz then I get impatient and then just go right ahead and do it anyways. Shark and I are going to make a plan, and figure out a budget for decorating and creating things. :) I can make all the things I want, as long as I don't pay anything for them. {Trust me, I have ENOUGH stuff to make all kinds of things with!!}I was also looking back at all pictures of our CO house, and realized I have TONS of things to decorate our house with! I've got pictures and crafts, and cute little things I made while we lived there. And since I haven't changed my decorating scheme, my old decorations will work!! Yayayay for not changing my favorite colors!
For some reason, my head has a different idea about this house than is normal. In my mind, this house means, I'll have more time to do things. I know that's not true at all, but I think what my brain really thinks is, I'll have more space to do things, meaning, I can spread out and leave a project out over night. Now, I just feel like I take over all over Steve & Heather's basement, which I do.
Shark and I went shooting this morning. We went up Farmington Peak. Here are pictures:
Well, Shark is fogging tonight, and I just got season 3 of The IT Crowd from Shark's mom. But while I was watching it, I realized I needed something to do with my hands. I tried to find my black vinyl, I looked everyehere (I'm planning something for once we get into our new house!) But I had started to create an EAT plate (I found a whole bunch of plastic chargers at Wal-mart for .67 cents, so I bought them all, they are 12x12) and my EAT plate turned into a dining room plate.
And since I was in a "making" mood, I showed it to Heather, and thought it was cute, so I made one for her! Here's Heather's :
I've been thinking of all kinds of cute things to do in the house. This idea has stuck with me ever since I saw it about a year ago on some blog. I have a "frame" idea that is going to go in the living room, and this would be perfect around it.

BIG things!
So, the past month has been crazy! We had Heritage Days {I still feel like I'm dead from that}, and then we started football at the City {sometimes you just need people to chill out and get out of the football shed!}, and then Shark and I flew to the Wisco for my sister's wedding! I have lots of pictures from that [ok, mostly landscapes from the plane window because I always forgot my camera when I was out and about]. At the end of last month/beginning of this month, Shark and I put an offer down on a house. The house was up for a short sale, so we knew it would take a long time {ignore where it says SHORT and it's lying!}. But I got a call yesterday morning, the bank excepted our offer! Shark and I went to put the earnest money down today, and signed the last of the papers! The closing date is September 10th!! We're so very excited to be in our own place, and to in our own house is just awesome! So, you can bet that once I get time {HA!} I'll be working on making our house cute, and I'll be posting about it! When our realtor called me, I started jumping on the bed, and I swear I didn't sit down for about an hour! I called everybody!! It's hard to change from "It's probably not going to happen" to "Yes it's ours!!" We tried really hard to NOT get our hopes up, {I read on the internet, that short sales don't go thru very often...} and so, I had to make sure that we looked at other houses and didn't start decorating {ok, that last part is just me, I had to not decorate the house!!} because it's so easy to get wrapped up and start thinking the house was ours already. Case in point : we drove by the house one day, and I was completely shocked to find people in it!! It was empty 2 days before when we went to go look at it! How could they sell our house out from under us?! I called the real estate office, and they said the seller rented it out on a month to month basis, and the renters knew the house was offered on, and they were ready to move at the drop of a hat. So I had to chill out! It wasn't ours! The seller could still do whatever he wanted to it...BUT now that we've signed papers and pretty much got the house, I'm thinking of where my griddle is going to go, which table to put up in the dining room, where to put our bed! I'm so very excited!! We both are. Shark and I have been smiling, and whenever I get to thinking about OUR HOUSE, a big grin comes to my face. We just keep repeating, We have a house! We have a house!!
Now, to test out the ward, and get ready to make yet another move!! {Good thing most of our stuff is still in boxes from Colorado!!}
Love to all who have good things happen to them, and even bad things that turn out to be good things. ♥

Alot of Nothing
So, lately, my days have consisted of just sitting around, applying for jobs, watching TV and shopping. {I have also been sick, so that doesn't help my motivation at all....} I know that today is only Wednesday, yeah, well considering I had myself convinced that today is Tuesday, I think the week has been pretty good. I've been looking/applying for jobs each day. It just kinda sucks not having a plan. We're hoping to get that figured out here soon. I've got some plans for tomorrow. Heather and I are making an Easter Egg Wreath. Angie beat me too it, of course, as seen at Angie's Creative Corner, but really, I've been lazy and don't really have a front door to call my own, and she's pretty awesome, so there. :P Heather and I have plans to also make a photo rubik's cube, found on Love, Actually. Ok, you caught, me, I linked those 2 crafts just so I could find them easy when I need them.... But that's what we've got planned. We're crossing our fingers on a few jobs right now, and I'm going to do my "hopeful-employee" duty, and follow up!! [Mom, you're jaw is on the floor...♥]
I was always happy that I had a job, I complained about the one I had quite a bit, but I was always grateful for it. And honestly, I never EVER thought I would lose my job. I figured, I worked in the Health field, and that since we were hiring people, getting laid off would never happen to me. The economy would never turn on our family like that. Boy, do I HATE being wrong!! I've been pretty naive about alot of things. I was completely in denial about my heart ever needing more work done. {Yeah, I had the first surgery at age 2, I thought I was cured and fixed FOREVER!!!} Sometimes, when you think you're all grown up, somebody pulls you off the monkey bars. I'm hoping this go-round, we get things figured out, and really start planning for our future, and make good choices.
Moving took a toll on me, and I'm still dealing with it. I'd like to think that I'm handling it all just fine, but sometimes I think my brain slips, and I realize that things aren't going as good as I'm thinking they are. I really don't know what I had planned once we got to Utah. I was so focused on getting everything packed and then I was worried about getting here. I never sat down to think about what about when we got to Utah!! So I'm kind of at a loss right now, no real sense of direction, I guess. I'm hoping to snap out of it, and get back to normal. The thing is, that "normal" ended back in January, and in February, "normal" was crazy cardboard fad where we packed everything. I'm not sure how long normal will take to get back.... So it looks like, the plan is : start writing a plan, an itinerary, for each day. A to-do list, kind of. So I have something to do, and something to accomplish. I know most of this post sounds like whining, pouting, complaining, or just plain rambling, but I've got to get it out. I know that we are supposed to be in Utah, and things will get better, but today, this moment, is just "one of those days" and, since I can't find my craft stuff, I decided to blog. Tomorrow I will find my camera, and get some pics, and I'll unload my craft stuff!! :)
Hmmm, I just re-read that last paragraph, and No, I am not on drugs, I'm just really tired and kinda stressed. I didn't even really understand the first sentence.... My bad..... Good night, I love and miss you!!
Love to all who stumpled thru my ramblings---

Arrival!!
We made it to Utah! And I can't seem to find my camera, so I don't have pictures yet... I have been taking pics with my cell phone, and as soon as I get the pics sent to my Album on my cell account, I'll upload them here, for all to see. :) The move was more awful than I imagined it would be. First off, I did NOT know we had THAT much stuff!! After 2 full loads to the dump and 1 dumpster drop, we finally fit all of our stuff into 3 pick-ups and 1 6x12 U-Haul trailor. Yeah!! And we threw out our chairs, our entertainment center, our futon and gave our desk away. So, Angie came and helped pack everything in my house!! Thank you thank you TONS TONS TON!!! I really needed the help, especially on Friday!! I had my appointment first thing Friday, and my beta blocker pills did not get called in, so we weren't able to pick them up like we were supposed to. We went to the appointment anyways, and they hooked me up to an IV. No big deal, except the nurse was not very nice about anything. They took me down to the Radiology department, and Shark said I got pretty funny (we were tired from laying on the love sac all night, no sleep was acheived at all that night) and then they pumped me full of relaxing juice, so I was kind of loopy.... They sprayed some Nitro Glycerin under my tongue, to expand my vessels, and then they shot me full of the contrast while in the CT scanner.... They Dr. told me the Nitro would give me a headache... great, just what I need.... So getting home, with a headache and having to still pack everything in my house and clean it all, was so wonderful {sarcasm!!} But Angie came over, and the in-laws made it there Thursday night, and they were both wonderful and amazing! Ang packed everything and cleaned most stuff! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! She helped out so very much in packing and cleaning, she stayed to the very end! Thank you! And thank you to the friends that stopped by during the day, I'll miss you all!! So, anyways, we started our trip Friday night, and made it to Laramie. My head hurt so incredibly much, after Nirto and high emotions of the crying kind, my head was pounding so hard. We stayed the night in Laramie, and then headed West Saturday morning! [Shark's dad and mom started to head back East when we go on the road at Laramie.... We got them turned around!!] We made it to Utah around 3 pm Saturday afternoon, and started moving things into Steve and Heather's house!! It was so nice to finally get a shower, and clean clothes. {Yeah, the same clothes I wore to Bunko on Thursday night, were the same clothes I wore to the appoinment, and the same clothes I wore to Laramie and the same clothes I was wearing when we crossed the state line to Utah!!} So yes, I needed a shower and a change of clothes. Saturday night was THE best sleep ever!! And then we got up to go to church, which started at 1 pm!! Awesomeness!! Then we came over to the parents house, and watched the closing ceremonies, and then read a book. I love being here, it's so nice to be home. Some people out there need to hurry up and get here!! I've learned to take things as they come, don't make long term plans, jump on the right opportunies, and cherish the people who except and love you for who you are. Thank you for making Colorado a good place for us everybody! And remember, I know where you live, and you can bet I won't forget, and I'm impulsive.....

from heart with love
Dear Girl,
This is your heart. Yeah, I know I've put you thru alot in the past year, but thank you so much for taking care of me. Thanks for caring enough about me to go get checked out, even tho those little orthoscopy tubes tickled. I'm not sure what's been wrong lately, but I'm sorry I've been a little off. Things'll get sorted out eventually, you're taking the right steps. I just hope that nothing big is in the future, the last guys's hands were kinda cold, and I'm not sure your family can go thru anything else like that. You have been trying really hard to be healthy, keep it up, and use that Wii Fit you talked Shark into getting you, yes I know about that. One last thing : Thank you for sharing me and opening me up to all kinds of wonderful and amazing people. These people are your true friends, and they have always wanted the best for you. I'll keep these friends close for you, just be sure to keep in touch with them! I know how much they mean to you, because I've been hurting lately, but just remember their hearts are hurting too right now. And cherish that family you've got, I know the Shark and his family love you, your whole family does too!! Well, take care, girl. ♥
Love always,
Your Heart ♥♥♥
Ok, so that might be a little retarded, but that's how I've been feeling lately, and I just want everyone to know that I love them and will think of them often. Today Angie came over with the boys and helped me pack everything!! Seriously, she could be on that show "Hourders" - where they clean out houses, cuz she's awesome. We really did get everything packed up and labeled. I felt the stress lift off my shoulders. Thank you thank you thank you!!! Tonight I went to Bunko, and it was lots of fun, I came up tied for most losses. Thanks for all the good times, ladies. :)

Dont peek
So last night, I couldn't sleep, and lately that's been happening alot. So I got out the iPod and started playing solitarie, and took some Tylenol PM, to help with my headache and help me to sleep. Well, as I was playing, Shark rolled over and kissed me, then said "Don't peek, he's a cheater." I then asked, "Who's a cheater?" To which he replied with a SNORE. I thought it was so funny. But then I finally fell asleep, and in the middle of one of my solitaire games {no worries, I finished it while in the waiting room at the hospital...} So Shark woke up early and then went off to his Wednesday meeting. Me and Bandit snoozed for a while longer, then I got up to start my day. I had my appointment at 11:15 am, and as I was heading down to the hospital, Shark called. And said that he was on his way, and that he would hopefully meet me there. Well, things worked out and he got there, and we both went in to see the cardiologist. Well, they wanted to do some more tests before my insurance runs out, so they tried really hard to get something going for either Thursday or Friday, so Friday I have 1 last appointment, some kind of test that is really hard to say. So I head to the hospital for my test at 7:25 am!! Yikes, I don't even think I got up that early go to work!! [just kidding, I did a few times...] But after the appointment Shark and I went and got some Gelato. When I was the Children's Hospital for my surgery, they gave us some $5 coupons for the gelato and coffee bar in the main lobby, well, I had 2 left. So Shark and I went to the Children's Hospital just to get Gelato, and to see the mechanical marble machine. Anyways, while at the Children's Hospital, I had a feeling of calm come over me, that this is where we were supposed to be, that moving here was not by chance or luck, that it was for a reason, and that reason is no longer, because we took care of it. So I got a feeling of calm about moving. Anyways, so we came home and just started packing everything! Shark patched all the holes from my pictures, while I packed box after box, and I still have TONS of stuff to pack! Ugh!! When did this get so hard, and since when do we have ALL this stuff?! I mean, how did it fit into our little house?!
So today's POTD is : a picture of my living room. The little dog in the picture cuz he was chewing on his rawhide in the living room. Sorry it's kinda dark.
love to all you children-at-heart --

Appointments and packing
Ok, so, I totally spaced writing about my year check up appointments. I think I mumbled something about it randomly in some post, but I can't remember, and I'm being lazy and NOT looking it up. But, I had the first appointment on Wednesday, the day of the party. But last Wednesday was my stress-test. And I'm going to say sorry right now, because I never explained it, so people were worried. Sorry for worrying you!! A stress test goes like this : They put a blood pressure cuff on you, then they stick a snorkle(hooked up to oxygen) in your mouth, then they plug your nose, and then they put you on a treadmill. Then every 3 minutes they speed up the treadmill and raise the incline. So I was drooling all over the place and I thought I would kick butt at this stress test. Well, come to find out, not excercising all this time totally worked against me, who knew? But yeah, right before the 3rd change (almost 9 minutes in) I got lightheaded and dizzy, so we stopped. Then I was able to go home. :) Today (Monday), I had appointment #2 which was an echo. It's like an ultrasound for your heart. So, all I had to do was lay there as this echo tech took pictures of my heart. It's actually pretty neat, and I'm thinking that when I grow up, that's what I want to do. {Watch out world, I've got a plan!!} I love looking at the screen and knowing "That's my heart!" and I like the look on people's faces when they listen to my heart for the first time. [All growing up, my cardiologist would parade in the med students, and they'd all go for a listen, some reactions were pretty priceless.] I'm thinking Rad Tech classes are going to be fun when we pair off to listen to each other's hearts..... ♥
Anyways, after the appointment, I think I packed some more. Yes, that's right, yes I did cuz I started packing the food in the kitchen and I planned out my meals for the week using meat and food that we have in the fridge. :) So far, the meal plan has stuck!
So POTD for Monday 2.22.2010 is : Boxes and how Bandit feels about boxes that he can't chew on!!
love to all you movers and shakers -

Last Sunday
So this is our last Sunday here in Colorado. And I'm sad to leave. I've got lots of friends here who I will miss so very much. I blogged alot yesterday about the past week. Yesterday Shark went to the dump. We got rid of our hippie chairs and most of the stuff in the garage. Shark said he was in the "throwing away" mood. I packed some boxes. Shark also took our backdoor off and put Bruce's back on. We bought some cheapie back door to put a doggie door in, we figured Bruce wouldn't appreciate a doggie door in the middle of his nice door. Now our living room would look empty (no chairs, just sofa) except it's full of boxes. Also, I still have my entire craft room to pack (almost entire, I packed some already) but I got a bunch of boxes, then had the party, so my craft room has tons of boxes in it, it looks over-bearing. I don't wanna do it....
Also, I need to find a new name for our blog. It's not going to be Colorado Style anymore. I'm trying to figure out what to change it to!!! I have no idea. I may just leave it Team Collard, with nothing else for a while. I need to get some kind of style in there....
Team Collard : Colorado Style
Team Collard : Survival Style
Team Collard : Random Style
Team Collard : Homeless Style
Team Collard : College Style
Yeah I got no idea.....Maybe something like Girl & Shark : This is our style - Yeah I'm not sure. Oh well. This is something for me to think about on the drive back to Utah.... The very long drive back. {Cross your fingers that we can get Shark's iPod working for the trip....}
Today's POTD is : the part of the bathtub that I broke!! Yeah ME!! Not Shark, who usually breaks stuff, sorry honey, but it's true. I put my foot on the soap holder thing in the tub (I was shaving my legs) and the soap holder fell off into the tub!! We got it fixed tho!!
Love to all you creative people -

Week 1
Week 1 is done and under my belt. I think I've been doing ok, and that I've been handling everything just fine. It really is a big change, to go from working to suddenly not working, all in the time of a day. I'm sure I'd be freaking out if not for the plan of attack Shark and I came up with. My days have been consumed with cleaning and getting things ready to pack, and planning meals for the month, trying to eat our food so we don't have to haul it to Utah with us. Plus in the middle of all that (literally IN THE MIDDLE) I planned a party. SO yeah, that's just how things have gone so far. Every now and then, I have little bouts of zero ambition, where I feel unmotivated to do anything, and that's usually what I do, nothing. But that's only once in a while. Today was my day of no ambition. I had started to clean, but didn't get very far, and then Shark came home early and napped, and then I got lazy, and napped with him. So yeah, nothing really got done. I did get some boxes today, and I even filled one. But that's it. I've also learned that I can't fully clean the floors, I have a dog and husband who both walk in mud and dirt like they live for it. Tomorrow is {hopefully} my day to finish cleaning the bathroom and start on the kitchen.
I am doing 1 craft for tomorrow. We're going to a fundraiser spaghetti dinner for our friend Levi and his family. I'm planning on making a chicken wire board with matching clothes pins. Once I get that done tomorrow, I'll take a picture of it, before we take it to the dinner.
Sorry if all I talk about is moving lately. But that is what is going on in my world. If I was having a baby, baby would be all I'd talk about, when I was working, work was all I talked about. I said we were boring before, well now something is going on and I'm talking about it. Sorry if it seems like too much, but really, I'm not doing anything else really besides cleaning and getting ready to move.
Anyways, I'm off to bed. love to all -

Birthday wishes and boxes
Today is my brother's birthday!! Happy Birthday Timmy!!! You're an awesome brother, and I love you!! You've taught me so much, and I look up to you! Hope you have a great 25th birthday!!
I had my mom send me some CD's with pictures of me growing up, I think I had her send them for the wedding video or something. So I've got pictures of when we were little!! Yayay!
Today I went and got some boxes from Home Depot, they've got some pretty big ones for pretty cheap. So today, I put the DVD's in a box. I also started to clean the kitchen floor, but after it not getting clean by mopping AND by scrubbing with a washcloth, I sort of lost ambition... I have some of those Magic Erasers, so that is what I'll try next. I think those things are awesome!! I had washed out a brush when I was using the chalkboard paint, I washed it out in the bathroom sink, and for almost 2 months, I had little specks of chalfboard paint in my bathroom sink that would not come out. I bought the Magic Eraser, and the specks came out!! I don't think the sink looked this good even when we started renting the place! So I'm pretty sure my eraser will clean the kitcheb floor... :)
POTD for today 1.5.10 is : our DVD's in a box. This is just most of them, I kept some out cuz Shark and I are movie people!! And again, it thinks the picture is horizontal when its not. I tried to fix it....
