You know when you make plans, and they seem totally logical. Yeah, this is totally gonna work, there's no way it can't because it JUST MAKES SENSE?!

Best laid plans
(Often times he's so swsweet and cute. Like this, I always take my shoes off by the door, and Danger took his shoes off by mommas.)
That's how potty training has been. It seems like he gets it. It really really does.
And then I'll get an idea that is totally guaranteed to work. Like making him go naked so he doesn't poop his pants. (Cuz his underwear is what's making him poop and pee his pants, cuz it's tricking him into thinking it's a diaper.) Right?
Um, nope.
Apparently, my child does whatever, whenever, wherever. So freaking stubborn.
Both of my children are completely stubborn and have very strong personalities. They are also very strong. Like very strong. And not bendy, not flexible in the least.
The Colonel is even less flexible and bendy than Danger was! I know my boys are strong and are completely different than any other children I ever pick up.
The look on people's faces when they hold my boys is priceless. It makes me smile.
The Colonel has been a little baby motor machine. Motoring ALL around the living room. But lately, he's been like a ghost from Mario, he only moves when no one is looking. He's getting braver and moving all the time.
He got an ear infection. This is his sad, I'm sick face.
Danger came with, and because he's coughing and it's bad, we put a mask on him. He hated at first but then liked it. He even fell asleep with it on, in the car.
And because this momma is so silly, when she changes baby's bum, she tosses their pants on their head. I did it to Danger, and I do it to The Colonel. Both of them giggled. The Colonel LOVES it. This time, I put his pants actually on his head rather than just on his face.
Danger got a marker and did this to my height ruler. I tried getting it off, the paint came off first. (sigh) I'm sad about it. I will probably end up making another one. We'll see.
Sometimes we just have to realize it's not our plans that matter.

And this week
Well this week has been the same as other weeks I suppose. The beginning at least.
Shark and I went on a double date on Tuesday. It was really nice for us to go on a date. Lately our dates have had a 3rd wheel. It's not that we can't find someone to watch Danger, it's just that lately our dates have been sort of spur of the moment. We just sorta get in the car and go.
Then Wednesday, The Headache hit me. It was the worst headache I've had since before the heart surgery! I haven't had a bad one like this in a long long time!! Thursday I went to the chiropractor and the crick in my neck went away, but the headache stayed. Today (Saturday) is day 4 of this blasted headache. Day 4 of the aura, of the lightheaded ness, of the dizzy spells, of the pain. Ugh. I can tell you, after I went to the chiropractor, the pain changed. I don't know how to explain it, it's like it went from an external pain that can be fixed to an internal pain that I just have to deal with. I've been dealing with headaches for a long long time. Thank goodness I have a flexible schedule and am able to just hang out on the couch with Danger.
Friday I went to drop off stuff at the DI, then ran to Walmart, and I ended up parking next to a friend of mine! So we hung for a while that day. Her youngest son is 2 months older than Danger. I decided I needed something else to do so I thought I'd make some "calm down bottles" I found on Pinterest.
The pink and purple don't have the stickers off yet, and I have to use goo-gone to get the sticker residue off the blue and green. I took SmartWater bottles, bought way more glitter than I'll ever need, and some tacky gel glue. I used hot water, poured the glue in first to mix it in, then dumped copious amounts of glitter in. Then, since super glue didn't keep the lid secure I used Gorilla glue. They last for about 3 minutes.
I've been working on Christmas presents, wedding presents and baby gifts. My sister is getting married next week. (I KNOW!!!) And so I've been working on getting something together for them. Danger and I are flying back to WI for the reception. It'll be his first time on an airplane. He's going to sit on my lap, he won't be 2 yet, so he'll be free. We're bringing a portable DVD player and plenty of fruit snacks. Grandma and grandpa are so excited to see him.
This kid is why I can never find my cans of food!
Peace love and cheesy grins!

Not dead!
Alright, so I'm not dead. I've just been hanging out. Last week I noticed Danger's cough had started again and gotten worse than before. So I took him into the doctor's office, because last time I was there, they told me it was RSV.
I am NOT freaking out, RSV is just cough that can turn into pnuemonia. I understand it, I'm not worried or scared. I know if not taken care of, RSV can become dangerous. But we've been taking care of it. Well, the RSV is back. He's been coughing and really just a snotface kiddo. Just like kiddo's should be, right? Not the coughing, just the snotfaced part. But we've been dealing with the RSV, and hopefully it's gone for good now. He still has a cough, but it's not like he's hacking anything up. He never had a temp so it wasn't close to becoming pnuemonia. (Right now he'ssnoring sleeping in his swing.)
Ooh, did you know I'm typing this on a mini computer? It used to be my sister Gwen's but she doesn't need it or something, so she sent it to us so Shark could use it, but right now he's sleeping, so he's not using it! I've kind of been dead to the world lately tho. I know that. With Danger being sick, I haven't really gone anywhere, or hanging out with anyone, especially anyone with kids. {I'm always grumbling about "that family" who brings their sick kids out and have them cough all over everything and everyone else!} I don't want to be "that family" so I just hung out with my little man here at home while he was sick.
I've decided that when he's sleeping, which he has been doing alot lately {I think he's growing again!} I am planning on writing things down. Blogging more. Hopefully crafting more. {I do have a quilt to finish....} I also need to start working on Christmas gifts... yeah I'm that lame, I start working on Christmas long before the snow starts falling! {HA, it snowed today! Ugh!}
So I have a project to post, I'll post it today once that post is done. 'Til then, see ya later!
