So I've been MIA lately. Sorry. Little Man had his 4 month check up last week but the doctor postponed his shots a week so he could get over being sick.

The doctor said Danger has RSV. It sounds big and scary, but really it's bronchitis and croup that turns into pneumonia in really little babies. So anyway, the doctor prescribed a nebulizer, so every 4 to 6 hours we hold him next to a mini air compressor so he can breath in the medicine mist. He has been sleeping pretty good besides being sick, yeah he coughs but it doesn't wake him up, and we've had a humidifier going in his room since he started coughing.

So needless to say, my sleep-o-meter has been on E for the week. I have been exhausted! Shark took Little Man fishing and let me sleep and I was still way exhausted. Ugh. Yeah, it doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I get, it isn't enough.

I have cooked dinner 3 days in a row! Woot Woot!

Ooh, anyways, I got my new toy! My new awesome camera came! I'm so excited, and I'm way excited to learn the tips and tricks.

One day at a time.

Homerun derby and stars

So today, I shopped. I bought lots of stuff, but most of it was on sale, and I even got some on clearance, like 95% off!! Sweet! Shark works at the mosquito abatement in Davis county, and when he worked there 2 years ago, he was partners with Joel. Well, if you know Shark at all, you know that he is a fan of nicknames, and everyone he knows has a nickname. Well, Joel's nickname is Naked Joel. (Naked Joel was partners with a girl after he was partners with Shark, and Shark dubbed her the Mrs. It's funny cuz Naked Joel and the Mrs got married about a year ago, it's cute!) Well, Naked Joel has been calling Shark and telling him we need to get together and have a double date. Tonight is the night! A homerun derby, and then a campfire at the Uinta property. (Shark's grandma owns property up in Uinta, right on the river, no house is built there yet, but every year or so, she threatens to sell her house in Cali, and move out here to Utah. I'm hoping she builds a big house.)
We can add 6 movies to our list. I bought Thumbelina (the exact one we used to watch when we went to my grandma's, when I was little!), Waitress (with Someone Like You), The Ant Bully, Troy (2 DVD edition!) and Robots. All were in the $5 bin at WalMart, the double Feature was $10! I was so excited when I saw these!

We tied in the Homerun Derby, and then we went and got our TV, and headed out to the property for a campfire. (I went to Kent's last week, and was browsing, and found these GIANT campfire marshmallows {really, that's what they're called} and we brought those.)

After our campfire, and Naked Joel and the Mrs went home, I wanted to stay out and look at the stars. So we hooked up the TV and put in Stardust, and watched part of it. I say part of it, because Shark started snoring before Tristan came back to find Evane gone! {when the unicorn broke the chain!} So, we packed it up and went home. It's fine with me, I knew he would fall asleep anyways, but I wanted to cuddle outside on the loveSac, it was way nice out tonight. I love my husband, he is so giving, and usually goes along with anyything I ask. ♥

POTD for 6.5.10 is : the giant marshmallows, next to a soda can, for comparison.

Love to all who love creative dates, and cuddling with their spouse!

Lake Powell..... hip hip HORRAY!

Lake Powell is a place I have only ever heard about, so when Steve and Heather said some friends were going this summer and there was a spot open for us, we were totally excited for the trip! I waited to find out if Mark could get the time off work before I took my time off, I really didn't want to go without him. :) So when he was able to get the whole week off, we got even MORE excited!! A whole week in Lake Powell, on a house boat, no work, no cell phones, no
worries!! We had worked out the details with Steve and Heather, and we headed out for Utah Friiday night (we stopped in WY for some fireworks, hey it was over the weekend of the 4th!) So we got to the Collard's house at 2am, and went to bed at 3am, and Steve came to wake us up the head down to Powell at 4am. So after the first sluggish really slow day, the weekend took a turn for the best- it was amazing! Lake Powell is so gorgeous! I've been to Southern Utah before (Bryce Canyon and Escalante) but the Lake is so pretty. Mark took a video of the Cave we were in. (His own sound effects and everything!!) Our houseboat was in the shade all day, the only time we were in the sun was when we wanted to be in the sun. It was way nice to be out of the sun. BUT-- it didn't matter because I got sunburned the first day anyways, so yeah... Oh and, I DID put sunscreen on right away, even before we got out of the car at the Lake, I had to SPF 50 slathered on. So BAM, sunburned right outta the gate. So I was a thinker, and brought the Aloe Vera (just in case some dum-dum got sunburned....) I also brought ear plugs, Steve had joked with Mark and I about bringing earplugs because apparently Mark snores (who knew?!) so I brought a bunch, not so much for the snoring, I can't hear it, but also because there were babies on the houseboat, and it saved many nights. So, I also brought my camera, but yeah, you know me, and it stayed in my duffle bag the ENTIRE time, except when Mark took the video, and for the trip down to Powell. So most the pictures on here are from Steph Chugg (Thanks Steph!) We went wakeboarding, surfing, tubing, waterskiing, kneeboarding, swimming, cliff jumping, fishing, napping and reading! It was tons of fun. It was way nice to just relax and not have to worry about deadlines, emails, or getting prints. We enjoyed spending time with Steve and Heather, and it was so much fun to get to know their friends. It was such a fun group of people! We had such a great time! We stayed up late playing game everynight. We learned some new card games (Werewolf and Hand & Foot) and we played a bunch of group games, and it was so crazy fun (GREAT GROUP!!) It was just a bunch of laughes, hilarious times.

Our 4th of July was pretty cool. We went down to Lehi to spend the holiday with friends and the family. We went up to Harrisville early to visit my family, they hadn't seen the Bandit yet. In Lehi, we watching the Thanksgiving Point fireworks show, which is pretty awesome. We lit off a bunch of fireworks with people in the neighborhood, they were having a block party. It was pretty fun. The guys tried to dunk Ryan in the Dunk Tank, they threw from the Ninja Line, which was way far away. Steve dunked Ryan first and it finally came out what everybody already knew: Steve is a Ninja. We had lots of fun in Lehi. And Mark and I finally understand what everybody is talking about when they say Wipeout! The show is freaking funny!! LOL! We were laughing the entire show!! Sunday, we celebrated Steve's birthday (which was on Tuesday) and had cake, and then we headed home. It was really a great week and weekend, we had tons of fun! Thanks for inviting us!

Puppy and crafts

Well, I've kinda figured out something about our puppy. He's a true Collard - he snores. Mark and I'll just be sitting there watching a movie with the Bandit at our feet, and all the sudden I look over at Mark, nope, he's still awake. I look down, yup the pup is snoozing and snoring!! It's ridiculous! So, next time we're in Utah, steer clear of ma and pa Collards, it'll be pretty noisy, we ALL snore!! Anyways, the puppy is pretty cute, he was fetching his squeaker duck today. And when he runs, his ears flop! And he bounds around the house, but sometimes, he prances. See the video. :)

But he also sits really funny for a puppy, well, for a dog. Yeah he just sits funnier than any other dog I've ever seen. He sits with his legs sticking out so they look like chicken legs. It's pretty funny. When he chews on toys, this is how he sits. And when he "sits" like a good puppy, he usually slouches down and looks like he's really tired or like he's just relaxing! He's so darn cute.

Anyways. So lately, I have been crafting. And not a tons of crafting, but enough to keep me interested in it for weeks to come. I don't *try* to do so much that I get burnt out over it, but sometimes that happens. Anyways, I wanted to try this Book Shelf idea, Mark was the knife behind it, he cut it out and everything, and hung it on the wall, so technically this does NOT count towards me 3 crafts for the year. But here is where I found the tutorial here at U-Create Kari's site, she posts a link to CutOutAndKeep.net. Both of these sites have a TON of awesome stuff that I would like to try! But, I went to GoodWill and got a book for $2 or something, and it was really awesome that I got THIS book, 1) it's orange 2) it matches our orange room and 3) it says Caribbean on it. Yeah it's awesome. (I bought the Ocean candle from a little boy in the Wal-Mart parking lot, he said "Hey ma'am, you ever been to the ocean, ma'am? Well, it doesn't matter cuz I just brought the ocean to you, ma'am. Here ma'am you should buy this candle, ma'am, so you can always have the ocean with you ma'am." Yeah it was one of those cheap pick-up lines, I fell for it.... Now you know how Mark got my knees to go weak...;)
I'll have to share more on the crafts later, I'm still continuing with the sandals idea, so far I've sold 2 pairs! Yay!! And I created another wallet, this one is way cute, and I've figured out a way to make them way cute, add embelishments and stuff. I also have one long-term craft, that is in the works, but it has major potential for awesomeness! I'll post pictures and give more info when I can. Some of these may end up being gifts, so I want them to be a surprise still. :)
Mark and I are doing good, things have been good so far, we've been safe, cute and happy. :) Next friday is our 1 year anniversary, we're pretty excited!! But at the same time, wondering where on earth did the time go? It doesn't feel like a year already! I guess time flows differently when you're with your best friend. Plus when we look back and all we've had to deal with this past year, yeah it does feel like a year, heck, it feels like 5 years!! (I heard a Darryl Worley song today, it's called "Sounds Like Life To Me" -Sounds like life to me, aint no destiny Yeah, the only thing for certain is uncertainty You gotta hold on tight, just enjoy the ride Get used to all this unpredictability, sounds like life Man, I know its tough but you gotta suck it up To hear you talk youre caught up in some tragedy Sounds like life to me.- It is so true!!) We feel so blessed to have each other to share this life and this journey with. I couldn't have asked for a better companion and friend than Mark is. He really is amazing.
love always, bry & mark
