Thursday WHOA

Ok, so I know, I didn't post yesterday during his nap. I have a reason, not an excuse.

I was driving.

Shark's car died yesterday morning on his way to work.

I was driving down to pick him up and get things sorted out with the car.

And in order to get down there by the time he was off work : I had to leave at 4. So Danger slept in the car. While I battled traffic.

Now this is the Focus. The Focus that has done this before, has died, has fallen apart.... Yeah....

But this car is beat up. Shark drives it an hour to work and then an hour home 3 to 4 days a week. So yeah, if I had to do that, I'd die every now and then.

I'm tired of this car, but in reality, this car has been a trooper. It's been a blessing to us. We've had it for over a year and a half. It's a champ.

So I really am grateful for this car.

But I'm hoping Shark gets his motorcycle working again.

Anyways - so my nerves were shot yesterday.

I tried to take a tow dolly down - but I have never towed anything. Ever. So it freaked me out, and I was already nervous about driving down in traffic. So add a bouncy noisy dolly on top of a headache and rush hour traffic - and I was done before I even got started. I ended up calling the insurance company and taking the dolly back. The insurance company was kinda helpful. We at least got the car towed to a service center and off the road. But it's still far away, so Shark is getting a trailer today to tow it home.

It's just been kind of a big headache. Shark and I have both been in a mood lately.... It's been kinda crazy.

It always seems like, as soon as things start to work out, that's when everything falls apart.

Now, I know, it's not everything that's fallen apart, it's just the car thing. But it has potential to mess up all of our budget plans, and money plans. And we all know, once the budget is messed up, nothing else can flow properly.

So yeah - it's been that kind of day/days.

Here's to silver linings. :)

this is the life

So Danger has been just monstering around. He's always into something, either tearing it apart or putting it back together. He's always looking around, seeing what he can get his hands on and how. He's always trying to figure things out, it's pretty darn cute.

That little guy has been so much fun to have around! He's so fun to watch, and chase around. He's always exploring stuff and the gears are always working. He plays peekaboo, and he is sooo stinking fun to lay with! He's so cute when he runs away! He has his little playroom with a chalkboard and most of the noisy toys, it's so cute to hear him up there just playing.

To keep myself accountable for my projects :

!) 365 Project : So far, I've only missed 1 day! It was a Sunday, and we usually just Church and then we sleep.... so.... I missed a day...

@) Day Zero : I'm still working on my current 101 in 1001 list.... But I've got some little projects that will work towards my new 101 in 1001 list. I'm excited.

#) One Little Word : It's hard to keep my word (CHOOSE) in the forefront of my mind. It's hard to keep the "Aw, I have to..." mentality, the negative thoughts out of my head. So I have to work on that part... We'll see how the back half of the month goes...

$) 15 minutes of Cleaning : I'm trying to do this cleaning/decluttering plan where 15 minutes a day, she picks a certain specific area of the house and clean or declutter it. I've missed a few days, and there are certain areas of my home (like declutter table linens, I don't have them...) So I've been working on that as well.
I know I have to work harder. There are a few things I've been dropping the ball on lately.

So yeah, there are things I'm working on. I'm trying to take it easy and not get my hopes up too high...

AWESOME NEWS::

Shark so a promotion at work, he'll be an engineering technician and will soon be switching to a "4 months on days/4 months on nights" shift, which I will love because then Shark will be on a normal person schedule and we'll be together at night. He'll start the new job in late February. We're very happy about it! :)

Anyways, love to all - I'll try and keep up with recent posts. Sorry no pics this time, I've been taking lots with my phone but will post some with next update! <3 p="p">
(and yes, I DID know I put the symbols instead of numbers)

So I've been MIA lately. Sorry. Little Man had his 4 month check up last week but the doctor postponed his shots a week so he could get over being sick.

The doctor said Danger has RSV. It sounds big and scary, but really it's bronchitis and croup that turns into pneumonia in really little babies. So anyway, the doctor prescribed a nebulizer, so every 4 to 6 hours we hold him next to a mini air compressor so he can breath in the medicine mist. He has been sleeping pretty good besides being sick, yeah he coughs but it doesn't wake him up, and we've had a humidifier going in his room since he started coughing.

So needless to say, my sleep-o-meter has been on E for the week. I have been exhausted! Shark took Little Man fishing and let me sleep and I was still way exhausted. Ugh. Yeah, it doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I get, it isn't enough.

I have cooked dinner 3 days in a row! Woot Woot!

Ooh, anyways, I got my new toy! My new awesome camera came! I'm so excited, and I'm way excited to learn the tips and tricks.

One day at a time.

blog awesomeness

So I've been being a blog-stalker lately. Mostly via pinterest. Yeah, I suppose you could almost call me a Peeping Pinner... ;) Well, on all my peeping, I've noticed that the blogs all that these social media buttons that you can click on and it takes you to the blogger's Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Flickr, or whatever. I really wanted those buttons since the following rules have changed a bit. {Plus, I know I follow my blogs now on my Kindle, via RSS.} I wanted to make it as east as possible for people to find my blog, and all my other things.
See how cute that is? {This is from my SIL's site, Decor-ganize Crafts!}

I have been searching for social networking icons for a long while. Ok not that long, but it feels like forever since I have to fight a baby in between searching! But I found Pantone's social media icons. Free and usable, and she even links a How-To from Primp My Blog for putting them on your blog. It was easy. I just had to search for where to find my RSS feed URL. After reading it 3 times, I understood it.

I had found these flag buttons from Leelou Blogs, but I went with the mustache background for March, and the flags don't really fit or match... Maybe next month!

With how Primp my blog showed how to put them on the blog, it wouldn't been that hard to make your own buttons! Maybe that will be my next thing. {But it seems to me that everybody else can find these buttons so easy!}

I also understand that with linking my Twitter and my Facebook, it pretty much negates the fact that I use code names on our blog. I am still going to continue to use code names, cuz eventually, I'd like to have a Facebook for my blog. Maybe I'll work on that this week.... But also, my security settings on the 'Book are so high, that no one can really see anything of mine, unless they are a friend, and if they're a friend, they already know our names. ;)

Yeah, with the help of the internet, I'm awesome!!

Understanding

So, Shark's new schedule is a rough one. He works a swing shift. 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on... But he also works the night shift : 6:30 pm-6:30 am. It's not that hard once you get used to it, but it really takes some time to get used to. He still needs more time, I think.

Everyone asks me if it's hard for me to deal with. Eh, yes and no.

NO - because we needed this job. I'm able to stay home, take care of the house, and the baby when he gets here. This job pays our bills and allows Shark to go to school still. I have plenty around the house to do and keep up with. Also, he's working in the field he's studying in. This is what he'd like to do when "he grows up" and he's working for a company that would allow him to move up. He's already excelled at the job he's doing and learning more about other jobs there too. He enjoys it. He likes his job, and a rough day means he's got to find and wash more cans, rather than the rough day as a driver meant picking up 3 pallets of 100 boxes each, and each box weighs 47lbs. His rough days aren't so rough. And my schedule is going to be changing here in 10 weeks or so. Once Little Man comes to town, times are going to completely change!!

YES - because I wish I had more time with him. {NOTE: It doesn't matter what his job or shift would be, I will always want more time with him. Even with his last job I wanted more time with him, even when we were in CO and we both had days jobs, I wanted more time with him. Wives always want more time with their husbands!} The hardest part, and I've already talked about this with him, is the few minutes we get to see each other awake. Those sleepy minutes when he gets home at 7:30am {he drives an hour each eay to and from work} and I'm still in bed, I read and pray and he snuggles into me to get warm {motorcycle!} right before he starts snoring. And those rushed hurried minutes where he jumps in the tub and then out quick and then I feed him something to eat before he has to rush off and beat traffic and construction. That's what's hard. But really, that's only 3 nights a week, 4 on a long week. It just feels like a very LONG time in between seeing him.

We still make time for each other, tho. We have a date night, where we either go out to the dollar theatre and see a movie that neither of us knew was out yet, let alone in the cheap theatre. Or we stay in a watch a movie, either from The Collection or from Netflix. This week, we did both. We watched Toy Story 3, and went a saw Transformers 3 with some friends. This morning, he brought me flowers. :)

And starting tomorrow, we're going to be on a vacation. We're flying back to WI for a while, and Shark will be able to fish every single day, all day long! And I get to do baby stuff with my mom and sisters!! Yup, we're both pretty excited.

Shark and I have come to an understanding. We still talk to each other, and hold each others hand and kiss and eat dinner together. Right now, we are so grateful for each other, and the sacrifices we're both giving. I'm grateful for him, and how hard he works, and how much he's doing to provide for us. I'm grateful for his strength and love for me. He's grateful I do laundry and cook, and keep the house clean-ish. He's grateful for my strength and contentment with being home, and my love for him. {We've talked about all this.} He means the world to me and I am so happy that we found each other!

Ooh, enough of the mushy stuff!! :) I've been making Little Man's baby blanket!! I've got all 9 wonky squares done, now I just need the white fabric for the border, and the flannel backing for it. I'm pretty excited with how it turned out. The wonky log-cabin is such a forgiving pattern {not sure if it's really a pattern, maybe more of theme..} and it's very versitale. Plus it's lots of fun and looks great.

This is me finally making good use of the craft table in my craft room!!

Here are the flowers Shark got me! When I asked him to take them upstairs (so I didn't step on them when I got out of bed) I said, "Now, I'm not trying to mean or evil, but you don't have to put them in water cuz we'll just be leaving in the morning and they'll die next week." Our plane takes off at 8:30am tomorrow, Shark will be heading to the airport straight from work.

And I painted my nails yesterday! I love how they look. I've had this bright magenta nail polish forever, and I bought a silver glitter polish yesterday to go over it. I love it!

So far that's what's been going on. I think the week after next, I'll get some white fabric and some flannel backing for the blanket and finish it up!

And I'm ending on a picture of what Bandit does while I'm in my craft room.... Making sure no one sneaks up on me!

Love to all ♥

Swing of Things

Alright, so last Saturday was my official last day of work. Once I get that "vacation" feeling gone, which I assume will happen next week, I'll up and at 'em. Don't get me wrong, I've been doing stuff. I've been keeping the kitchen clean, and the laundry done. I've even made dinner 3 nights in a row! That's awesome for me, who usually just tosses some mac'n'cheese in a pan. But next week, I'll start organizing the house, decluttering it and everything. I want to organize the house, I want it to be clean so we don't have to scramble to clean it when someone is coming over. I know decluttering is going to take time, but that's what I've got lots of these days.

Also, budgeting. I've been working really hard on that. This week was an epic fail... We had a few unscheduled payments come up and totally blew my budget out of the water. BUT, just because we failed once doesn't mean we're going to give up. I've got some good plans I just need to put into place. We've been talking to some neighbors who have some pretty good plans.

And don't worry, I'm not trying to do too much, just enough to keep the house in order and money in the account and food in the fridge. I'm not trying to be WonderWoman or anything, there are things I want now that I have time to control them. I know all the time will be gone once Little Man gets here, but I might as well try while he's still cooking.

Shark and I went on a date on Monday. We watched a movie from my stash that we hadn't seen and then went to get ice cream from Subzero. It was pretty neat. They add all the ingredients in liquid form and then blast it with liquid nitrogen to freeze it. It tasted awesome too.

Shark has been getting used to his new schedule. And he's been able to do things early in the week. He fixed his motorcycle and even reupholtered the seat. Then we went for ride. I've been kind of iffy about the motorcycle since I've been pregnant. I'm iffy with them to begin with, I'm not a fan of leaning and turning.... But he asked if I wanted to go for a short ride and I said yes. We went up to the park we got our engagement photos taken. It wasn't a very long stay at the park, we walked across 2 kissing bridges and then got back on the bike. Shark said having a hot girl on your bike is one of the best things ever. But having a hot pregnant wife on your bike is THE best thing ever. :) He makes me smile.

Little Man has just been moving and rolling and elbowing me all over. It's been lots of fun tho. Lately he's started kicking me under the ribs, which is new, he usually kicks me on the underside of my belly. He's just a squirmy little guy. It really has been fun to just feel him move and kick.

Lots of love from us over here♥

Sunday Surprise!

*WARNING : This post is scary, BUT EVERYTHING IS FINE!!!*

OK, so be sure to reread the warning if you start to get concerned. Trust me, I've already had to. Here goes my story.

Sunday morning, Shark and I got up, and I started making scones (by started making, I mean I took the frozen rolls out of the freezer and put them in the oven to "fast thaw". We cooked them together, made our honey butter than watched some Scrubs.

Around noon, I took a bath, and got out around 12:30. When I stood up, my vision went all white, and I got dizzy. I went into the bedroom, and noticed my heart was beating way way fast. Like faster than I can remember it beating. I called Shark away from his game of Metroid to come and take a look.

He came down, and my heart was still going crazy. I laid down, he took my pulse, and after about 5 minutes, my heart rate went back to normal. I stood up to find some clothes for church and my heart started going crazy again. After I laid back down, Shark asked me what I wanted to do.

Now, I'm not a panic-er, but I really felt like we needed to go into the hospital. Shark agreed, and he got everything ready for us to go. He even carried me up the stairs. We got in the truck and headed to the hospital that's 2 blocks away.

We went to the ER {it was Sunday} and sat down and talked to a nurse. My heart rate was about 80 when I was talking to her, and then just as she was going to take the 'finger pulse thing' off, it jumped up to about 160. They put me in a wheel chair and took me in.

*WARNING : This post is scary, BUT EVERYTHING IS FINE!!!*

They put an IV in each arm, so I could get tons of fluids all at once. Then they came in and did and EKG/ECG to get my heart rate and a print of it. It was normal. Then I got up to go to the bathroom, when I came back, my heart rate was up again, they asked for another EKG/ECG and they took 2, the first was about 150, the 2nd was 211 beats per minute. {211 is NOT normal!!}

They had me lay there for a long time, then they had me go down and get an Xray. I came back, and my heart rate was up yet again. They sent me to get some mini-CT scan, each time I stood up, my heart rate went way up. Like I was running a marathon each time I stood up.

They called in an "electrical cardiologist specialist" who deals with heart rhythms. He checked out my chart and my EKG's. When he came in to talk to us, he said:

**Rapid heart rate is normal when dealing with Transposition of the Great Arteries patients who are pregnant. {That's me!!} He said if the bout of rapid heart rate lasts longer than 5 minutes, that is not normal and to get in and see someone. The rapid heart rate is NOT life threatening to me or the baby. And they would like to put me on something, but feel like the 1st trimester is NOT the time to do so. I will be fine until Wednesday when I see my cardiologist and OB's down in SLC.**

Then they discharged me, we went home, and Shark's family was there, cleaning up our house.

Even today there is still the rapid heart rate, but it is NOWHERE near what it was yesterday. Everything is fine, I'm watching TV and playing Nintendo, drinking tons of water and eating pizza {of course}. Things are good, but feeling like I've run a marathon totally exhausted me. So I've been relaxing all day. Everything is fine.

Shark started his summer semester today. He went to this class this moring, came home and took a nap {a day of worry is exhausting too!!} and now he's at work. There will be some relaxing days to come this week, where we will just be napping.

Everything is fine. And I'm not just saying this to hide anything, everything really is fine. I'm just exhausted. Nap time again!

Love to all who are thinking of us and who we are thinking of. ♥

UnLazy!

So, last night I finally moved my tree out of my living room. When I say moved, I mean all I really did was move it downstairs inton an "unused" room. I did NOT take it down, I did NOT remove any of the decorations. I just took it downstairs. And this is where it will stay, probably until next year, unless we need to use that room. And my first thought when I finally got it down there was : Hmm, I guess now my family will be able to see my tree. :) {Cuz they are coming out to Utah in July!!}

Also, here is the set of shelves Shark got me for Christmas. I got him to set it up in my craft room. Oh, and with all my birthday money, I bought containers and bins for my shelves. Now I just need to organize all my stuff.

In my devious plans to decorate my house and keep it clean-ish, I wanted Shark to set up our little "couple's table" for the front window. Then I could rearrange my little cube shelves around, and get my tables organized in my craft room.

And recently, I found some cups at the Trading Post, in the colors ORANGE GREEN AND BLUE! I was so excited when I found these, that I had to buy them right away. These cups have been shuffling around our house for about 3 weeks or so. Well, then I found another set of hooks at the Post, but with 5 hooks instead of 3. So I switched out the 3 hooks from the bathroom downstairs for the 5 hooks, Shark likes hooks. And I took the 3 hooks upstairs, Cuz I wanted my cups on those hooks. My sister-in-law Heather, gave me a sign for our first Christmas, it says our last name and Est. 2008. I hung that sign in my kitchen, and underneath it, I hung my hooks and my cups! I love it! It looks like someone with decorating skill did it!

Oh, and a while back at the Post, they had these frames on sale for $10. Not really sure why I needed one of those frames, but I did, and so I got it. Right now, it is just a blank frame hanging on our wall. I have a few ideas, but I just need to get off the couch and follow thru.

On my Ikea trip a while back that reaffirmed my love-hate relationship with the store, I bought some awesome mirrors, that have been sitting up in my closet for a while, and neither Shark or I really felt a need to put them up. Well, this past weekend, I wanted those mirrors, and our picture up in our room. Shark kindly obliged and put them up! I love them! He's the best husband ever!

Shark went back to school last week, it's been a hard 2 weeks for both of us. Shark's weeks have been hard because he's been walking to school early in the morning for his first class, he stays at school all morning, goes to his 12:30 class then walks him to eat a sandwich and then drive off to get to work at 3, then stays late each night. My weeks have been hard because work has been riduclously slow and that means hours have been cut slightly, but that's not the hard part, the hard part is sitting around the house with Bandit. I've been doing all kinds of laundry and folding and putting away. But it's hard being alone, and it seems like everytime I get in the truck, I spend money, and we can't have that! So basically, my weeks haven't been that hard, just kinda boring. There are plenty of things for me to do, I jsut need to prioritize. :)

Love to those who are lost in their own boredom... ♥

Cliff Hanger!!

So at the end of my last post, I realize I left everybody hanging. It would have been better if I had blogged as planned, but I did not. Yeah... My bad..

Anyways, Shark I have been discussing our "Random Room" lately. What we want to do with it, make out of it, burn it... Things like that. Here's the room again, in case you forgot. (On the bottom picture, it's that weird wall on the right side, with that odd blue siding.)

So, Shark has been brainstorming, getting all kinds of great ideas. And Sunday he finally just started doing. (My only condition to doing anything with that room was : It had to wait until after Christmas, when things weren't so dang crazy! Sunday was the 26th.....)

Well, Shark cleaned out that entire room, which was pretty awesome itself. That room is where we put all the boxes and I was supposed to slowly clean out that room, but somehow never got around to it. Also, I bet it didn't help that when I needed something, I tore apart every box in that room, and made it a complete mess! Yeah... So, my freaking awesome husband took that whole room and put it in the rooms the stuff needed to be in. I'm not gonna lie, lots went down to the dungeon. Anywho, when he tore up the carpet, THIS amazingness was underneath.

Yeah... I wonder why they carpeted over it... Well, Shark just kept going. Once the carpet was torn up (and rolled up and put in the dungeon.) He started on the wall. Yes, THE WALL!

There is a door from the dining room that now goes into the garage, not outside. He then framed a wall between that odd siding and the brick on the house.

And he has even framed another wall, to close off the garage. (So I can have a big pantry and tons of shelves!!)

Speaking of shelves. Shark's dad came over to help him on Monday, and his dad went up to my craft room/office and made these awesome shelves!!

I'm so excited!! So really, that's what been going on. Sorry to get you all excited. I love having lots of shelves!! Woot woot! Now to organize them, and find a way to keep them organized. We'll just have to see. Thank you so much, Shark for making all these things for me, and thank you to your dad too!

POTD: Bandit at the top of the stairs. No one to play with...

Love to all who have big plans for this next year!! I know we sure do! ♥

Down with the sickness

Ok, so there is not going to be any menu for this week. First of all, I'm sick. I've got laryngitis. Shark took me to the doctor this morning and I got handed a Z-pack, it's a pack of antibiotics for pnuemonia and other throat illnesses, to stop my sinus's from making my throat gross... So, I don't feel like cooking. I called in to work today (I hate calling in sick!) cuz I'm contagious and no one can hear me talk. I need to not-contagious and people need to here me at work, I talk to people all day!! So, I am at home. Oh, and I don't want to cook, cuz I'm lazy. But also, I don't want to go to the store cuz I'm contagious, and I can't cook unless I have food to cook. So, yeah... Also this week is Thanksgiving (what a week to be sick, trust me, I already feel awful for calling in, but calling in THIS week, just makes it worse!) and we'll have plenty of food on Thursday to last us the rest of the week and weekend! That's what's been going on so far. Just me, sitting on the couch, watching movies, drinking tea, and sewing things. :)

Love to all who hate being sick ♥

Hunter Safety

So, I signed up for hunter's safety a while ago, and realized that classes started this week, yeah they started on Monday at 6pm, I realized I was enrolled in the class something around 5:30pm on Monday!! Excited and nervous at the same time. Anxious too, we have alot going on this month. Yeah, it's been pretty crazy. We went to the lender, and she said she wants to close on the house by the end of the month! Things have been all kinds of crazy, I've been signing up for all kinds of things, and getting ready for all kinds of things. It feels like I have so much to do each day, but really, it's not that much, and it doesn't have to happen THAT fast! Sometimes I just have to sit down and say, Hey, relax, calm down, you still have some time. Which is NOT prograstinating! It's NOT! I call it De-Stressing! Anyways, Shark and I got pulled over on Friday, yeah. By an Officer-in-training! We didn't get pulled over for speeding or anything like "the usual" we got pulled over for the crack in the windshield! Ugh! So, we have to get that fixed within the next 2 weeks, plus we have to register our truck here. (We always wait until the current registration is almost up, then we register in the state we moved to.) {Wow, reread that last sentence, I made it sound like we have never lived in the same state for more than a year....Last year was the first year I put on the renewal sticker on my truck.} So I have been working on that.

I have been trying to fill my time with useful things, like work, like putting in resumes, like making little things, like cleaning up, like doing laundry... you know. For example, I got home last night, and I made a bucket of spaghetti (I was at the store and it was cheap and sounded amazing!) and I had bought all the supplies to make some more gummies for Heather (it was her birthday yesterday) so I got cracking on that. {Bandit was being helpful too, he saved from a cricket.... Ok, I didn't need saving, but he ate it anyway!} When I was done, I put the gummies in a tupperware thingy, and then went downstairs to watch my new rental, and wait for Shark to get home. I just got Sydney White in the mail from Blockbuster, and I have been wanting to watch it, so I did. Then Shark got home, and we went right to sleep.

I've been having a hard time getting to sleep lately, and an even harder time getting up! Which sucks big time, cuz I feel like my day is completely gone by the time I get up (once I get to work, I usually come home around 9 or so...) And I have been clenching my teeth lately too! I found myself clenching my teeth when we were watching Mulan the other night. Ok, it's not THAT scary of a movie, and I know how it ends, so what was my deal?! My MIL claims it's tension, and I believe she's right. I'm still nervous about the house. Just because they accepted our offer doesn't necessarily mean we got the house! There's still a chance that it's not ours. It drives me crazy to have someone amping me up (the lender lady) and then we keep getting faked out! Just tell us if it's ours already, no more jerking us around! UGH!

Hmm, so I believe I completely forgot to share my new haircut! It was last Thursday (when we found out about the offer being accepted!) that I decided to use my FREE haircut coupon (I found it in my truck at Heritage Days!). I went in with this picture :

(This is the 3rd time using this same picture, the 1st time I had great results, the 2nd time was EPIC fail, and the 3rd time was pretty awesome) and came out with this cute cut:

I love it! Although, I must say, it has been quite a while since I've had bangs, and I keep trying to twitch them off to the side (you've seen the skaters do it, the hair flip that is more like a twitch!) and they don't really go anywhere, so it just seems like I'm twitchy!

I will be very glad to finally have some time to work on my 101 in 1001. No, I have NOT forgotten!! It's just that things have been way crazy! But, if you look, buying a house with a fence is #34! So that one will be checked off as DONE once we move in!! :)

Love to all who have things to sing about! ♥

Heritage Days

So, there has been a lack of posts because of Heritage Days here in town. Why does that affect me? Oh, I work for the City, and have been knee deep in just about everything. It has all been good tho, but still, it's crazy busy. Sorry.

Oh, and I'm also working on being honest. That sounds bad, but what I mean is : If I don't like something, I'm not going to do that or eat that or wear that, just because someone else likes it. Sorry about that too, but really, I have all kinds of clothes and stuff that I honestly don't wear, but bought because someone thought it was cute. :) No more "Sure, I'd like that." or "Sure, I'll wear that someday." Nope, if I don't need it, I don't want it!

I'll post as soon as I can. Oh, and next weekend, Shark and I are heading to Wisconsin for my sister's wedding!! Well, her reception, but still, it's exciting cuz MY SISTER IS MARRIED!!!

Love to all who have found they have NO time!! ♥

Real life is calling

Ok, so I've tried hard these past few weeks to post everyday, cuz I've been trying to get my POTD's in. Well, honestly, most days are consumed with work. And let's be real, no one wants to read about some little blonde girl working at baseball games. It's just not fun. And, since I've been consumed with work, I haven't been posting, and when I do post, they are 2 weeks late and I've had to pick my brain about what happened that day, and my days end up blending together. SO - from now on, the plan is to try to write about cool things that happen, well, just real things that happen. {I have NOT been making up stuff, but sometimes bad things happen that aren't cool, they are just real....} I know I have changed what I'm planning to write about alot lately, but things keep changing on us. I'll try to just post and then add pictures later instead of waiting to take pictures and thus making my post 2 weeks late.

So, here it goes : Last Friday, June 25th, I was scorekeeping, and I had a new umpire {blue}, one I've never worked with before. So I wasn't used to his mechanics and how he calls the game. Well, it didn't help that this lady with a big huge patio umbrella sat on the bottom bench, totally blocking my new blue from sight. Well, all I can say is good thing this game was a practice game {one of the teams forfeited...}.

Next thing on the list that Shark and I did. This weekend, Steve was gone on a fishing trip. Shark has really wanted to fix up their basement bathroom for a while now, well, this weekend, he did it. I picked out the color of the tile {we went with black/white/gray for better color coordination.} and Shark cut the tile and put it all in! Well, he got started Friday night {tearing stuff out}, then we went and bought the tile on Saturday, and then he finished grouting on Sunday. I've got a during picture.

Here are some AFTER pictres. (the bathroom is still not 100% clean and done, but it will be soon... I hope..)

Well, I guess we've had a busy busy weekend. Shark and I went on our carriage ride Saturday night. I didn't get any pictures on the carriage ride, I forgot my nice camera on my dresser, and all I had was my phone, and while my phone takes great pictures, if I'm moving or what I'm picturing is moving, the picture turns out like crap. So, no pitcures. So we stopped by the vistors center on Temple Square, and saw the scale model of the Temple, click THIS link to see the KSL.com post about it, then we went on our carriage ride, then we walked down to the Macaroni Grill on 300 W, and ate some freaking awesome Italian food!! It gets Shark's seal or approval! {It's under the same ownership that Chili's is, it costs about the same, but it is freaking awesome! Way better than Olive Garden!! So now when we get a Chili's gift card, we're heading to Macaroni Grill!!}

Our server looked really familiar. Shark called him out, he is one of Kurt's friend's brothers. But Shark said that wasn't it. He turned to me, and said, "I think he was in that pirate movie we watched, you know, Pirates of the Great Salt Lake?" I looked it up on my computer phone and it's true!! He was in Pirates of the Great Salt Lake!!!

The movie was medocre. The mean pirate guy got his arm cut off, and it looked kinda crappy. It was fun to watch tho, still kinda awful... But I KNOW A MOVIE STAR!!!Booyah! How awesome is that?! We got a free dessert cuz it was our anniversary, and he acknowledged his movie! :) More awesomeness!! Then we walked back to our truck, up by Temple Square. it was such a nice night, the weather was great, and it was so nice to hang out with Shark, just us, to chat and laugh. It was such a good date! I'm so very much in love with him! So grateful for him, and how amazing he is!

Even when dirty and gross from cutting tiles all day, he still smiles and is so darn cute!! Love him! SEE?!

Love to all who love their comanions!! ♥

Date night!

So, today is Friday, tomorrow is our Anniversary! I know we celebrated last week, but I still want to do something for it.

This morning we took Bandit and Trigger for a walk. And then after the walk, Shark went boating and I went to go hang out with Ang again. I went over there, and helped her clean out her minivan, yes I actually helped this time! :) Then I had to run to work. But I stopped at the in-laws house first, to see how she was doing. I got work around noon, and shortly after I got to work, some flowers arrived!!

Then I stopped at home between work and scorekeeping. And I found this big huge mess downstairs!!

So I beat the dogs and then went off to scorekeep. Well, the first game was foreited, so we hung out for a while, and then the 2nd game was played, but the 3rd game was a forfeit, but we played a practice game, and I stayed and scorekept that game. So upon leaving work, I got home and Shark ordered pizza and we watched X-Men 2!

POTD for 6.18.20 is : my little dog drinking at the park.

LOVE to all who hate finding messes that you did NOT make!! ♥

Muffins!

Work today was great! I got up early to go to the football clinic. We helped get the kids registered for the camp, and me and MIL Ruth just hung out all morning. There are some way little kids at the camp, they are so dang cute!

I went in to work like normal, and then headed off to scorekeep games at 5. The games of course went late. But staying late is sometimes a good thing. The concessions downstairs had muffins, and they didn't sell all of them, so they gave the leftover muffins to the scorekeepers. I got one and put it on Shark's dashboard for work in the morning! I hope he likes a big jumbo chocolate chocolate chip muffin!!

POTD for 6.14.10 is : a picture of the football camp.

Love to all who love surprising the ones they love! ♥

Fogging

Today work was good, but I don't have any games to scorekeep tonight. I got done with work around 6, and then went over to hang out at B & R's, some friends of Ang's, cuz Ang was there. Beck fed me, which was awesome, I never thought I'd love sloppy joes, but oh man, they were good! We watched old school Disney like Paul Bunyan, and Lambert the tame lion. Once I got home around 10, I called Shark and asked him to come by and pick me up for fogging. I've never gone fogging with him, but it wasn't bad at all! {the truck was bigger than I thought it would be} and we only fogged until midnight, it got too cold, and the wind was blowing too much. But fogging was great, it gave us time to talk, while we were both awake. :) I enjoying spending time with Shark, he's funny, and so darn cute! So we drove around Clinton, fogging for mosquitos.

Oh, and if you ever get behind a truck with a flashing light on it, going 15 mph, emitting a billow of fog, please just go around them. The driver will appreciate it! :)

No POTD for today, I couldn't get a decent picture of the fog truck. So, close your eyes, and there is the picture of the fogging truck at midnight! :)

Love to all who love who they are married to! ♥

Motivate me!

Get Motivated! So, there was a great deal, a whole office for $19 or $4 a person. So, my mother-in-law got signed up, and she signed her husband up, and she asked if I wanted to go too. I said sure. So we woke up at like 5 AM, and went downt o SLC for a seminar. It was pretty cool. Mitt Romney was there (via satalite), he gave a good speech. Apolo Onto Ohno was there and he gave a great speech about not just getting glory out of your goal, but along the journey to your goal. Colin Powel gave an awesome speech about becoming a normal citizen after being a higher-up (it was good for Dave and I to hear, Dave is at home with no work, and I went from a full-time drafting job to working at the Rec Department....) and Colin Powel was funny!! Rudi Guilliani spoke about being prepared and making plans can make you prepared for the unexpected. Sarah Palin spoke about success, and she referred to Coach Wooden's pyramid of Success. She told how she was a high school basketball champion and all it took to reach that goal. Aside from them trying to sell us a bunch of stuff, the seminar was pretty good. {Not like reading a Get out of Debt book, that make me want to start making my own paper and cut up my wallet.} But we got home around 6:15, just in time for me to scorekeep the 2nd and 3rd games of the night. And the 2nd game went on for about 2 1/2 hours. It was awful!! But it was a good day, all in all.

This guy sang the national anthem.

This is America's Mayor, Rudi Guilliani.

This was our Q&A lunch, down in the "nice" seats, questions about the Wealth Magazine stock program they tried to sell us.

This was the dancing contest.

POTD for 6.9.10 is : getting motivated!

Love to all who have motivation!

Photoshop

So, today I got all kinds of things printed and ready to hand out, cuz today is Picture Night for our baseball teams. And we're doing a promo with the Ogden Raptors for our teams, where the team can run out on the field with the Raptors before the National Anthem, and they also get free tickets! Sweet huh?! So I've been printing, copying, labeling, and marking. We also recently got Photoshop Elements 7 for the office, most of us are pretty excited about it. Work was pretty good today. I helped out with Football registrations and cool stuff like that. I put up a new raffle on the Facebook, but I also let everyone know that the raffle will close once we reach 300 Fans, so far, we've only gotten 1 more fan... Hmmmm.... How to bribe the people?!

When I got home, I took my little dog for a walk, he ran and ran and ran around the park. And the last time I threw the ball, he was bringing it back, and then saw some ducks, and of course, he had to chase them, so the ball is lost somewhere at the park! I looked and looked and couldn't find it anywhere, thank goodness I bought the Chuck-it that fits any tennis ball! Awesome planning on my part. So we walked back home, and when we got back, Shark was home! He was down playing Zelda with Steve. I played with Whitney, and made her giggle!!

POTD for 5.8.10 is : a picture of the Photoshop CDs! :)

And now, we are headed to bed.

Coloring!

So today, I worked and all I called all day. It wasn't too bad. After work, one of the sports ladies I work with, Brooke, had to run around and help with practices. So I stayed and watched her little girls (cuz honestly, I have NO idea how to set up for practices). We colored and laughed and ate some snacks. I took off my flip flops and the little one (she's 3) took off her shoes and started wearing my big flip flops. It was pretty cute.

After all that, I stopped by the parent's house {they live 2 blocks from the bity building} and watched some TV with Ruth. We ended up watching Burn Notice {we got them hooked on it too} and just hung out. There were no games today, because of graduations around Clinton. Which is fine with me, I got the night off!

Shark stopped by the parent's house when he was done with work, it's great to see him, he's been fogging the last 2 nights. Which means he gets home around 1am. It's been kinda awful, but I usually stay up to see him, that where my crafting comes in. :)

POTD for 6.4.10 is : the picture I colored!!

Love to all who love little kids, and who like being one, once in a while. ♥

Where my keys at?

So, I went and got my own set of keys for the city. Well, the sporting part of the city. I went and got copies because yesterday, when I went to the Football shed with a key, the key given to me, did NOT work. So, at least now, I can go, and try all my keys and I'll know at least 1 of them will work. And with me superivsing at the softball complex, it just makes sense for me to have keys, instead of waiting for the complex manager to get there or calling Ruth to come by. I can go in, open the doors, and I can also open the Umpire Room doors, which our umps really appreciate.Working at the city has been lots of fun, I meet all kinds of people, and I help out with all kinds of things. It's pretty awesome.

POTD for 6.2.10 is : My keys! {And on my red Clinton City shirt too!!}

Love to all who love sports and keys...
