Menu for March 25 thru 30
So here's my menu plan for this week. (I'm going to try to post my menu plan every Sunday...)
3-25 : Tacos
3-26 : Brown Sugar and Balsamic glazed pork
3-27 : Slow cooker bacon wrapped apple chicken
3-28 : Crock Pot French Dip Sandwiches
3-29 : (Finder's Keeper's) Shark is out of town, so it's just Danger and me.
3-30 : Shrimp Noodles
3-31 : Easter at in-laws
I'm planning a daily theme menu thing. You know - Mexican Monday, Pinterest/Favorite Tuesday, Chicken Wednesday, Meat Thursday, Fish/Favorite Friday, Noodle Saturday, Soup Sunday.
Maybe those days'll work - we'll have to see.
I'm pretty sure all of my recipes fit into those groups.
I need to lay down a plan, and stick to it. It's hard for me to plan my meals, I never know what to make. So I figure if I have a daily theme, that'll keep it straight and keep my recipes in rotation. (I think some months we end up having tacos once a week....)
So we'll see how this goes. I'll let you kno!

Life on an iPhone
So you remember that awesome camera Shark got me a while back?
Remember how I'm not really using it anymore?
Yeah - my phone is always with me. (I don't understand how not everyone has their phone by them or on their person at all times!) So I always have it to take pictures. I always try to snap a few pics.
I've been trying to take more pictures, lots more.
I've been doing real good with my 365 Project. I've only missed that one day in January!
So anyways here's a freaking ton of pictures from my iPhone. :(

mo money...
So this whole "NO SPEND MONTH" thing was another epic fail....
Yeah - we had to pay for tuition and new tires....
and you know, those 4 seasons of Survivor....
Yeah.....
Although, we did get the warranties taken off the Durango... Like the warranties that aren't doing a darn thing for us.
Like the Interior/Exterior warranty : if the Interior gets dirty, they will clean it and if they can't clean it, they'll replace the upholstery. They will repair any exterior damage that doesn't need paint, but not tail lights or panels.... Screw that!
And the Gap Coverage : If we were to get in a crash they would pay the difference from the insurance company.
So that was like $1300 back onto the loan! Woo-hoo!
And today I called my internet company, who I have been a customer with for over 5 years, and asked about a customer loyalty promotion. I got a 50% discount on my internet for the next 12 months!!
I'm so happy and excited I could freaking cry!
These are FINALLY steps in the right direction. I'm so happy.
Yeah so we failed this month. But we're working thru it, and taking steps to becoming debt free.
I've started babysitting again, so that income is coming back in. We've got some plans, and now it's just a matter of setting them in motion.
We did just get a new credit card tho. We tried to refinance to see if we could get a lower rate, and we couldn't. My credit is too low and terrible. For a while, about 6 years ago, I didn't give a crap about what money I was spending, or when they wanted it back... So I have some delinquencies on my credit, but I also do not have enough revolving credit.
So we got another credit card to put gas on. It'll help maintain our budget: I already have the gas budgeted out, but we don't spend that much on gas, ever, so we end up using the "extra" money on other things - like take out or Slurpees.
So the credit card will help me gain responsible revolving credit, while helping us get our budget ironed out (find out exactly how MUCH we're spending on gas).
So here goes! We've got some good plans. :)

epic fail
So remember back in January when I was super excited to start a new cleaning regime....
You remember - the 15 minutes of cleaning a day...
It sounded so simple, so easy, so effortless.....
HA!
I think I did it for 3 days and then totally fell off that wagon.
If anything, my house is MORE cluttered and dirty now than when I tried to start...
Trust me, it's not pretty.
Every other day I try to at least pick up Danger's toys in the living room.
(The living room is where we spend most of our days {chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool...} so that room is the disaster area...) Sorry to anyone who comes over or peeks in my windows.....
When I first saw the 15 minutes of cleaning plan, it sounded so awesome. And I was so excited to start.
But you know, I buy things and in order to fend off the little destroyer I put them on the table. And there they sit.
It really is awful. (I'm airing out the dirty laundry for you!) When we eat dinner at the table, which isn't very often, we just keep moving everything over. Keep stacking it up. Keep shoving it over. Yeah. How terrible is that?
Ugh. Seriously. Ugh.
I keep trying to declutter and clean everything, but every time I start, I can't look narrow enough to focus on ONE single task at hand. And I get overwhelmed.
I few friends of mine have done the 40 bags in 40 days.
And I think I could do that one... Maybe not in 40 days consecutively, but maybe 1 bag a Saturday or something. We'll just have to see.
Here's hoping I can work on #35 - Continue de-cluttering house....

this is it
So I have been blog hopping quite a bit. Reading around. Browsing.
I enjoy reading other people's adventures. I enjoy finding ideas for my own adventures.
One thing I've noticed in reading completely random blogs (found on link parties and Pinterest) is there's a lot of happy. I've found a few blogs out there that show everything in their lives.
Now, I understand, these are blogs, not our life. And some things in our lives we want to keep private. I'm not saying I want our blogs to become our Facebook - oversharing from the toilet, and political stances.
My life isn't always pretty, and it's usually messy, and we have struggles. I'd like to think I'm pretty honest on here.
Now, don't get me wrong, there are somethings in our life that are private and should remain as such. You know, until I totally blab these secrets all over... or until I'm comfortable enough sharing the details.
Cuz you all know it's going to be ME who blabs everything. Shark very rarely gets to share any news because I've most likely spread it around... I'm not known for my patience....
Anyways - we have had our share of struggles and trials. It always seems like it's something with my heart... For a while there, my funny-beating heart was the cause of all our struggles.
So I guess what I'm saying is : I'm going to try to show all of it. Not just the pretty side of our life. Not just the smiles, but the tears too.
Also I want to go on more adventures. I want to hang out with Danger more. I want to go play more.
I feel like I've been so distracted and lazy... If those 2 things can happen at the same time... I feel like all Danger and I have done is watch The Incredibles. We have gone out and about, but not very much.
It just recently started getting warm, so I'm planning on going outside with him more. Going for walks. Going to the park. I'm excited to get started on it. And to break in that new wagon Danger got for Christmas.
So we'll see. I'll try to keep it real and honest... :)

fo rizzle
So - we've been trying to do a No Spend Month.
Ehh - it's been going ok.
Some days are better than others when it comes to spending money.
I've been working on a service project lately.
One of my 101 in 1001 days goals is to make 143 baby hats. One for every week of my 1001 days.
So far I'm up to 52 hats.
And my favorite color to make hats with is lime green. It's so stinking cute with pink, purple, black, white and this cute variegated black & white I found.
These hats are so stinking cute and easy to make. I can whip 1 out in a TV show. :)
I'm pretty excited about this little service project so far.
I've also been getting some little projects done that have been on my list.
I made a Height Ruler.
I made it so it starts at 8" up the wall and goes up to 6'6".
That's one thing I can check off my list. Yay!
Danger is almost 3' tall already! That little guy is 33" tall! Holy crap!
Also, I've been trying to figure out my camera. Like how to take manual pictures.
My only photo subject is my feet or Danger.
I'll show you some pics of the cuter of the 2.
Yay!
We sure do love that little guy. :)
