All in writing

We're getting our budget down on paper! Because I can never stick to it we're never sure what we've got left! So far so good, I bought 2 calendars to write everything down on. I bought 2, 1 for my goals (yeah, that list to the left is still REALLY long!) and 1 for our budget and money stuff. :)

I made a To Do list of all my Christmas presents this year. I can check 2 off! Yayayay! The items I make will NOT be posted until Christmas Day, so if you were hoping to peek, neener neener neener!! It feels good to get things done on my list.

I went grocery shopping today and that means : NEW MENUS!! Yayay

M 11-8 ------- Waffles
T 11-9 -------- Crunch Wrap Supreme (homemade!!)
W 11-10 ------ Wings
TH 11-11 ----- Chili (Shark leaves for hunting)
F 11-12 ------- Tuna fish Sandwiches
S 11-13 ------- Mac & Cheese
SU 11-14 -----  Football
M 11-15 ------- Gnocchi (as found on Make it and Love it)
T 11-16 -------- Cheeseburger Soup
W 11-17 ------- Linguine Alla Carbonara
TH 11-18 ------ BBQ Beef Sandwiches
F 11-19 -------- Slow Cooker Pot Roast
S 11-20 -------- Soup
SU 11-21 ------ Football

Last night we made waffles as our FHE, and they were awesome! And tonight we made Crunch Wrap Supremes, as made famous at Taco Bell. I just guessed at it, but they turned out pretty dang good! (It helps that I bought this BIG huge can of Nacho Cheese 2 weeks ago... Nachos and Crunch Wraps for ever!!)

Yes, you read that right on Thursday's dinner.... Shark is going hunting... again. I'm crossing my fingers that he comes back with some deer! I need my freezer filled up!! Shark and Steve are heading to Nebraska for this big rifle hunt. I'm just excited for them to get some whitetails! I might even have to borrow Ang's dehydrator... Or maybe... Christmas is coming!! ;)

So anyways, that's what's been going on so far this week. :) Now it's time for me to go to bed. Good night all - and love to those who are crossing things off their To-Do list!! ♥

Its like waiting at the DMV...

{but with a better possible outcome.....}

AND THEY WON'T CALL MY NUMBER

Yeah, so pretty sure we're still just waiting. Waiting. Waiting. I hate waiting. You can ask Shark how long I actually waited to open my birthday present... or my Christmas present... or basically anything that comes in the mail. {No worries, mom, I still have NOT opened that box you sent, the one that I can't open until we move. I packed it in a box somewhere....}

I'm not good with the whole patient thing. I thought I was. {But you know what Thought did, don't cha?!} I guess I should have realized that I'm not a very patient person. I talk to other cars, tell them to get out of my way, and yes, I am one of those foot-stompers. [Just yesterday I was in teh drive thru line at Panda Express, and the car in front of me got their food and slowly inched away from the window, I said {loudly} OH GET OUT OF MY WAY ALREADY!! and she did, but only after she looked up in her rear-view.... Yeah both our windows were open, oops. But really, I had like 7 minutes to get back to work!!

Wait, it could just be I'm not patient when I've got something to do, or somewhere to be! Yeah, that could be it.... But then how does that explain my opening gifts early. Hmm, well, I'm just excited to see what's in there!! I know it's for me, and I'm already so dang excited for the gift, might as well be more excited and tinkering with my gift!!

This house is like one of those presents, except with a BIG huge NOT YET sign. The hardest thing about it is the YET, it if was just NO, I think I could handle that, but it's the YET part that kills me. It's also the fact that we can't do a dang thing. At least with presents you can hide them from each other, so the NOT YET isn't so hard to handle. But there is nothing we can do to make this go faster. Trying not to think about it or worry about it just makes it harder to not think about it. {You know how when someone says don't think about those cookies, and then all you can think about IS those cookies?!?}

Hmmm, so lately, I have been trying to keep my mind off of the house, and since I packed some of my crafting stuff, I have started playing Lego Batman again. I've almost gotten everything in all the Hero missions, I just need to finish the Hero's and then start working on the Villians, and then I need to find all the hostages... I think I have time.

Hopefully we hear either today or tomorrow what's going down with the house. And for the record, this post did NOT help me NOT think about the house.... Yeah.

Love to those who are foot-stompers. ♥

Jam to Tunes

So, with my unlimited web pack, I uploaded the Pandora radio app {go to Pandora to get it on your computer!!} and when I wake up I put on one of my stations {Paramore, Jack Johnson, or Weezer} and jam out, and dance my way to get ready. It's been pretty fun in the morning.

Lately, I have been wanting some Bermuda shorts.... I've little chicken legs, popsicle stick legs, what ever you want to call them, but I have come to discover {I've known for a long time actually} that my legs do NOT look good in shorts of any kind. But I still want some bermudas, so maybe I'll go to the DI tonight, to go drop off some stuff, and get some frames {yes, another Idea!!} and I'll pick up a pair of shorts.  Which reminds me, I also need to get a jumbo muffin tin, Wal-Mart did NOT have any!!

I've been putting ringtones and little sounds on my phone. My text message alert is the Autobot sound. Gwen's song is : Achemed the Dead Terrorist saying "Silence... I kill you" Tim's is The Doom song from Invader Zim, my mom and dad's ring is : the Pink Panther, Shark's ring is Weezer "I want you to" My In-Law's ring is The Big Bang Theory song. :) I've got more ringtones, so as people call, I'll get them their own.... My general ringtone is The Office theme.

Well - work was good today. Shark is fogging tonight, so it's just me! I'm making my craft, you know, the one with the paper that I cut..... Well, since I have to do 2 things at once, and my phone can only last so long when I listen to music on it, I put in a movie. {I recently bought Seven Pounds off the internet, I liked the movie quite a bit, it hit a little close to home when we watched it the first time (the main female character, Rosairo Dawson, has congenital heart failure) so I figured it would be a while before we watched it again...} But I heard a noise when I started watching the movie, and I thought it was Bandit. When the movie was done, I was getting ready for bed, and I went into the bathroom to take my contacts out, and I went in to fix the filter for the turtle tank, and I looked and there was NO TURTLE!! I jumped out of the bathroom, and called Shark. I took Bandit in there to try to sniff Chomps out, no luck. Finally, I was looking on the shelf, to see where he could have gone, there was no water on the floor... and nothing on the shelf was tipped over. I got to the end of the shelf, and THERE! Peeking at me over the washclothes, was Chomps! I got a utitlity glove from the toolbox, swatted him with a washcloth (he ducked his head back into his shell) and picked him up and dropped him back in his tank! I called Shark again, and he laughed and said that was a good plan of attack and that I'm very brave for grabbing the turtle that wants to eat my fingers... :)

POTD for 5.20.10 is : Chomps hanging out by the washcloths!! Look at those claws, I don't want that thing lose in the basement!!

Love to all who have lost something and they were scared... ♥

I am Ironman

So, today Shark went huntin at 5am (remember I'm not a morning person!) and then Bandit was awake and all excited cuz Shark put on his hunting pants. Well, it took Bandit about an hour to settle down and go back to sleep. I woke up at 8am anyways, and tried really hard to go back to sleep. I did, until around 10. Then I woke up for good, and took my little dog to Home Depot and PetSmart. (They let dogs into the Depot, which I am happy about.) Bandit did NOT like being in the cart at all, and jumped out of it as soon as it starter moving. So we walked into the Depot. I picked up my checks from the training I did, and stopped to check out the Oops! Paint. No luck in finding any color worth painting (all beige or pink...) so Bandit and I ran over to PetSmart. That is a store that Bandit can go in no matter what. :) We picked out a new collar for him, I couldn't find his old one anywhere I looked (the parent's house, our house, the room) so I just bought him a new one. And while we were there, I bought some more feeder fishes for the turtle. He loves fishes. And the fish are cheaper at PetSmart than at Wal-Mart. And then we went home. Shark got home around 1pm. Then we went to see Iron Man 2! We went with the whole family, for Mother's Day. It was a great movie. I liked it alot. (If you go see it, watch all the way past the credits!! It leads into another movie!) Then we went to The Pizza Factory for food. Shark and I rode the motorcycle. It was fun, but I freaked out at every turn. I like the Motorcycle salute. All cyclists salute eachother when passing, I think it's pretty cool.

POTD for 5.8.2010 is : Bandit's new collar!! Look how masculine he looks!!

LOVE to all who love movies ♥

conclusion...or not

So my POTD for yesterday was our feet with the Crusoe DVD. Well we finished it tonight, well the episodes at least. Too bad the series ends in a cliff hanger!! I feel totally jipped!! The last episode ends with Crusoe still stuck on the blasted island, his wife figured out why that creepy old guy is helping her out, she got her kids back, and Olivia is helping her out for some reason unknown. So Shark and I were ready to watch the final episode and then all the sudden the Main Menu pops up. THAT WAS THE FINAL EPISODE!! Dang you NBC, how can you just LEAVE him on the island. You couldn't have knocked out a pointless episode, like the one with the coming of age games? You couldn't have resolved everything in that last episode?! I hate you for dragging me along on a pointless adventure. I don't want another season, just 1 last episode, to answer the questions, to reunite Crusoe with his wife and kids, to just explain why Olivia is helping them (kind of) and to get Blackthorn out of the way for good!! I guess I will never know. Anger.

Today, Shark took Bandit out shooting somewhere not close by (I say somewhere cuz I'm not actually sure where they went....) and I hung out with Teri and Angie and crafted pretty much all day. Shark says Bandit ran about 80 miles today, he chased jack rabbits and birds all over, and the Bandit came home and wanted to play!! I have no idea how that dog has so much energy. Wirehairs are pretty much the best hunting dog I've even seen, but if I could change 1 thing, it would be: they wouldn't be so blasted energetic!! Gear down, turbo...for real!! But I got my fabric cut for a new project, and I hope to start it during the week, or this next weekend. Who knows. But I'm pretty dang excited about this project. Now, if it can turn out how I have it pictured in my head.... It'll look amazing. Plus, I bought a some materials for a little tiny V-Day decor project, and I have at least 1 more V-Day decor project in mind.... And I made a little bracelet.

I saw it on a blog called Sister's Stuff, and figured I'd try to make one. It worked pretty good, now all I need to do is get to the temple and try it out. It's a bracelet to hold the name when I go thru the temple, cuz I'm always dropping mine, and I only have 1 pocket, which holds my chapstick and lifesavers.

And here is the POTD for 1.9.10 : fabric! The fabric strips I cut out today!!

Random days in WINTER

So, the past few days I've been in a cleaning kick. (Yes mom, it's true!) I've come home from work and just started cleaning everything. Well, more like picking up trash and actually throwing it out. I cleaned off the table, which never happens. I even reorganized my limited counter space, I squished all my appliances (except the slow cooker) on the corner counter, and Mark helped me with dishes. The last half of this month and as long as it takes in January, my goal is to get the house clean, and to have it stay that way for at least 3 weeks. I'm thinking it won't be too hard, it'll just take commitment on both our parts, to put things away, throw things away, and fold the laundry as soon as it comes out of the dryer!!! These past few monthes have been crazy because I have been making gifts like it's my business. But, that will all stop as soon as the 25th hits! (Of course, after the 25th, the making will soon be replaced with playing with my new things!) And I've already got plans for new projects for 2010! I am so awful, I know! But, I am prepared to put off my projects until I get organized. That is what I want this next year, to get organized! I want to organize my projects, my crafts, my computer room, my supplies, my house, everything! I know that I will never ever ever be totally organized, but I feel confident in getting slightly more organized than I am right now. Anyways, I just want my house to be clean enough for people to stop over and me not crying.... :) It shouldn't look this horrible, it's just me and Mark. We do have Bandit, but he's not that messy! It's really just us!!! So, that is hopefully going to be my plan for tomorrow. Mark is going hunting first thing in the morning, and he's taking the Bandit, so I will have all day to do my business! (Let's just see if I still have my ambition in the morning!) Here goes!!

November means fall

Thanksgiving was exactly how it should be (I missed my family, but they know it!). There was hardly any snow (in the mountains and the high elevations there was, but not around Clinton!), it was chilly, and it smelled like fall! It was so nice! There was hunting and turkey and pie and football. Mark's mom and I watched the Packers game while we cooked food, and then the boys came back and we watched the Packers game again, it was the best ever!! We went and watched The Blind Side, which is a way aweome movie. And Mark and I got to hang out with friends, we made ginger bread houses with Angie & Smitty and with Bubba & Tracy. (More on the Gb houses later.) It was so much fun just hanging out with his family. I thought about my family quite a bit, and how we all would get together and watch football and play cards and eventually go outside and throw the football around. It made me excited for Mark and I to start a family and start our own Thanksgiving traditions. I'm excited for these things to be ours, but I can wait!! :) The past year has come and gone so fast! It's Mark's birthday next Saturday, and I'm torn on what to day. I know I really need to get my Christmas presents finished (and so does Mark) but I have a buy-1-get-1-free coupon for a daily lift ticket. What to do?! I'm so excited to start snowboarding again, we didn't go last year cuz of the heart stuff, so we haven't gone in over 2 years! We both enjoy it, even though I'm not very good. I'm excited to get better. But if we go, this will a completely new thing for me, again, it'll be the first time since the open heart surgery. (I'm not worried about it, my heart is completely healed!!) I'm excited to see if I can notice a difference, to see if I can breathe as we go down the hill (last time we went, it hurt so bad to go DOWN the hill!) I'm so excited to get back on the board!! Time to get some long underwears!! We'll see how much I can get done on presents. The last day to mail presents so they get delivered by Dec. 25th is DECEMBER 17TH!! So I have to mail everything by then! That's my deadline!! We'll just have to see how things go!

27 Days of Thankful - 27

Day 27 : I have been thankful for 27 days!! This "program" has helped me gain a better perspective of my life and so realize that I have A LOT to be thankful for! Also, this program has inspired me to try the Project Life in 2010. I really like the idea of writing down something everyday. I'm pretty excited to start this new project. (It's my birthday present!! I'm so excited! However, I'll get it after my birthday, but that's ok, I'm going to take pics and jot some notes for the part of January I don't have my present!) It has made me really grateful for what I have and to notice all that I do have!! :) But, today I am thankful for Black Friday Bird Shoots! Every Thanksgiving that the Collard boys are together, they go rabbit hunting in the morning (to leave the girls alone to cook.) and they went to the Black Friday Bird Shoot today, supposedly to leave the ladies to go shopping. But, Mark's mom and I tagged along, we went and watched our pup point at some birds. He was so good!! He learned so much today! He pointed at the pheasants and he even got a few! (For one, he chased it down and fought with it, and when Mark got up to him, Bandit was standing on the bird!!) He was such a good bird dog! Plus, he was the only dog out there that didn't have a shock collar on, granted, he wasn't the most well behaved dog, but he was way good at getting the birdies. It was way nice to get Bandit out there to see what other dogs do, and to get him the training and to get him excited about birds!! It was such a nice day, it was cold, but really a nice day! I am thankful for my family, and how I love hunting just like them (I fit in!). It was a nice day together with them, and having fun with them!!

What are you thankful for? Check out what Amanda is thankful for! Thank you Amanda for this great idea, I'm pretty sure this is a new tradition for our family!

PS- I did go shopping today, but it was at 4:30 pm, and the only place I went to was Seagull Book (hey! I'm in Utah, I HAD to go!!) and I went looking for a book, but didn't find it, and I got some shirts and a 6-picture frame for $7!!! I am so excited!! That was the only place I went, the only place I could stand to go, there was NO way I was setting foot in WalMart today, they parking lot looked like a zoo! Ugh!

27 Days of Thankful - 26

Day 26 : I am thankful for non-existent holiday traffic and good weather. Mark and I drove to Utah last night. We both thought there would be tons of traffic on the roads and that it would be slow going, and if anything, there would be tons of cops on I-80. WRONG!!! There was NO traffic, and we were able to zip right thru Wyoming, and as far as I know, we only saw cops heading East. It was smooth sailing from Colorado to Utah. Only one minor mishap of getting dinner, we took the wrong exit, I wasn't paying attention (I was reading Fablehaven 3 out loud) and Mark thought we always took the 2nd exit. Considering it is November and we had terrible snow storms in September and October, I thought we would see a little snow, but the only snow we saw was the snow on the hills and mountains and on the side of the road. It was a cloudless night, and the weather was perfect!! We couldn't have asked for better holiday travel conditions!

What are you thankful for today?!!

Happy Turkey Chow day to all!! Thanksgiving is such an awesome holiday, I love getting together with family and hanging out. I am so excited to watch football this year, I am actually keeping track of me team! I am missing my family this time of year, though, they know I love them, and I would go see them if I could. But I am excited to spend this Thanksgiving with Mark's family. His family is great!! The boys are actually in the truck heading out to the hunting spot. They go rabbit hunting every year. :) Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!

Much love to all - love, bry and mark

27 Days of Thankful - 21

Day 21 : I am thankful I am a heavy sleeper!! Tonight we had 5 Collard under our roof. All five of the Collard were snoring!! Mark, Kurt, Dave, Bry, and Bandit - all snoring!! It was pretty crazy! I think I was the last person to fall asleep, and somehow I fell asleep! It was so loud! (The boys tell me last night was nothing compared to the night before when it was all 3 boys in the tent!) But I think it's pretty cute that my little dog snores too. But I am real thankful that I am a heavy sleeper (people say that's one reason Mark and I are perfect for each other, he snores and I sleep!) I am also thankful for my family!

What are you thankful for today?

Hmm, so I decided to make a pie today (I just faked it, it isn't a real pie, I bought the pie shells, and I bought the frozen berries, so I really did fake it!) But it turned out really good. I had my professional pie testers taste it, and they loved it!! So, this is what I will be making for my potluck at work on Tuesday. It was so easy, and it tastes soooo good! The boys enjoyed a nice pie after 2 days of shooting things and killing things and eating deer-steak. They each got a deer, but while Dave was chasing his deer, he rolled his ankle really bad, and Mark had to carry him back to the campsite. He seems to be doing good, he was limping around the house, and watching movies and eating pie.

Love - bry and mark

Cute little....

So, Bandit has a habit of waking us up at 6:30 am most Saturdays. And I have discovered he does that to wake Mark up!! Because today it was just me in bed (Mark is in Nebraska shooting deer with his brother and dad) and Bandit came and laid down on my side of the bed and slept. I slept in until 9!! It was so nice! So I took some pictures of the rat, he was so cute all scrunched up next to the bed. He liked the nice comfy pillow that is by my side of the bed, it was quite a switch from being over by the dresser like he usually is. But he was pretty dang cute. And then he chased a squirrel up an electrical pole, and he was seriously going nuts. Barking at it, trying to jump up there (he almost jumped over the fence right by it!) and just crazy! So I went and got Mark's pellet gun and aimed up, and I shot twice, I got it the 2nd time. It fell, but before Bandit could rush over and get him, the squirrel jumped up and ran away! (I made Bandit come sit by my feet so he wouldn't get in the way.) Those dang little creeps are tough! (Mark shot one a few weeks ago, and it had been shot twice already, it had a BB and a pellet in it!) So, better luck next time! :) Mark and the boys should be heading back soon, unless they are staying another night, but Mark and Kurt both got deer yesterday (I told him to take pictures!) So we'll just have to see. Now time to finish more gifts!! LOL!! Yayayayay!

Squirrels, bananas and collars

So, Bandit got a squirrel this morning! Well, if you ask Mark, he puts it like this: Bandit saw the squirrel, and he pointed so good, and as per Mark and Bandit's previous agreement, Mark had to shoot it. (The previous agreement being that Mark told Bandit, if Bandit pointed, Mark would kill what he was pointing at.) So, before Mark and I left for work, the killing began. Mark locked the squirrel in the garage, and Bandit sat at the garage door until Mark left and then until I left, he sat there waiting for one of us to get the squirrel out. He didn't even go to the gate to see who was in the truck when I left! I see where I rate in Bandit's heirarchy! But, he sat there whining and howling for someone to get his squirrel, he wanted it so bad! He's a good little hunting dog, and he's really a sharp looking dog, and he points so good! (Plus, I'm pretty sure that is the squirrel that has been putting sticks in our duct exhaust pipe on the house. He was a rebel squirrel, Mark found a pellet and BB in him when he killed him, and they weren't from Mark! This squirrel has been shot at before!!)

Our little dog LoVEs bananas! Anytime Mark or I eats a banana, he is right there. (OK, anytime we eat anything really!) But he absolutely loves the yellow fruit! Sometimes, I put peanut butter and bananas in his dish, he loves that too. But he likes bananas, which is pretty unusual for little puppy. I didn't think I could feed him carrots, bananas or apples, until I found some recipes for the Kong. (Which I still cannot find that dang Kong, the Bandit has probably buried it, but where?!) Walmart had a sale on bananas today, so I bought 2 bunches of them. :)

We officaially have a LARGE dog, he is no longer a medium. We had to buy him a new collar, his old one was at the end of it length, and it was choking him, so broke down and bought a new one. It's the same blue-camo collar, we got one for him when he was first new, and just went with it. (Mark's brother Steve has the green-camo on his dog Trigger, a chocolate lab, so we couldn't get that one!) He's such a cute thing, even though he really isn't a large dog, he's just a little dog!! Mark's parents went back to Utah telling everyone that Bandit is a little dog, and that's true. Compared to Tank and Trigger (both are triple Bandit's size) our little Bandit really is a shrimp! LOL! But, I think he's not getting bigger because of his doggie door. We got this one for when he was little, he had to step up into it before, and now he has to crouch and stretch himself out in order to get in. And he keeps hitting his knees(?) on the bottom of the door. We are getting him a new door, I promise. I think once we get him a bigger door, he will grow some more! :)

Deep in the heart of Texas...

So, I flew to Dallas on Friday, my sister lives in Abilene, Texas, and she's getting married next year. I flew out to help her pick out wedding dresses! We found one, and it's absolutely gorgeous!! It was alot of fun to hang out with her this weekend, and to go shopping with her! It was tons of fun to see here again, last time I saw her was when she was moving out here in July, and that was the last family on my side that I've seen lately. But Texas was colder than I thought it would be, I guess there was a big cold snap in the west this weekend, Denver got some snow! I'm glad I missed that. I saw some Texas Longhorns, not the football team, but the actual animal, they are freaking huge! Also, I'm not such a fan of Texas highways, they are all kinds of confusing, and they don't have on/off ramps like the rest of the country (I've been to) they off ramp onto a frontage road, and then onramp back to the highway a little ways down, but the frontage road is still there, it really makes it so darn confusing, I'm glad I wasn't driving. But it'll be good to be home.

This weekend is the longest Mark and I have been apart since we got married, we have spent 1 night apart since June 19th, 2008. But it was going to spent apart no matter where I was, because Mark went hunting in Nebraska all weekend. No luck this time, but he's planning on going out over the next few weeks when it changes from bow season to rifle season out there. (His tag is for the entire doe season, bow, rifle, muzzleloader, bow, rifle. So, he's definetly going to get something during rifle. :) Mark went with a guy from work, Brandon, and while we were both gone, I wasn't sure what to do with the mutt-face, I was thinking of asking some friends to just stop over and check on him, but her husband went out of town, and Mark said he's just leave a ton of food out for Bandit. But, Mark asked Brandon if he could leave Bandit at his house, Brandon has dogs, and his wife said she'd watch him. That so freaking nice and awesome! So, I was able to come out here and not worry about a thing! Awesome!! I didn't get pictures, my camera is still dead... I'm hoping maybe for Christmas... (Mark--HINT HINT!!)

Fantastical week in the making!!!

So this week has major potential for amazing-ness!! First off: Mark and I decorated for Halloween, and I LOVE HALLOWEEN!! I am so excited to decorate for this holiday!! Second: there's a football game tonight that will be aweomse, no matter who wins. Packers vs. Vikings, and I am so excited to watch this game! Aaron Rodgers is freaking amazing! And this whole rivalry with Grandma Favre means this game is going to be awesome!! (Awesome just like the Montana-Young rivalry back in the day.) I'm excited to watch how the teams react, how they defend their QB's. Oooh! And then on Thursday- Jim and Pam are getting married on The Office!! Finally!! And last but definitely NOT least: I am taking a vacation day on Friday, because I am flying to Dallas to see my sister, Gwen! She is getting married in January (or June, or something...) and I am going to Texas to help her pick out wedding dresses! I am so excited to see her and help her out with this way exciting adventure! I am so happy for her and Greg, and I am so excited to help her out with getting the dress! So, I get Halloween, football madness, TV show magic, a vacation day, to visit a new city, and to help my sister with her dress! I am so excited for this week! (Now, if only I could get my migraines to go away for this week.... or please, just let up a little bit...)

Mark is planning to go hunting again this weekend in Nebraska, he's got that doe tag still, and didn't get anything this past weekend, so he's trying again. :) He's got a whole weekend to shoot something. He might try bow hunting again, or he might take the Bandit and shoot some ducks or something. We'll just have to see. :)

Halloween-ify the house!

I love halloween! It is my favorite holiday ever! This year we have a house on a street, I'm excited because I can decorate it, and trick-or-treaters will come!! I went to the Dollar Tree, and was excited because I could finally buy those Halloween decorations I wanted!! I got some window clings (yeah, I'm old school like that) and some of that spider web cotton, and a pumpkin head candy bucket, oh, and I got some barbed wire (note: it clearly is NOT barbed wire, it is hemp string spray painted rusty blood color.) I had Mark cut a hole in the bottom of the pumpkin head bucket, and put that on the porch light. I put the window clings on the front windows, I licked them so they would stick, I wanted people outside to be able to read them. (Cuz SOOO many people walk by and read window clings, I gotta play for that demographic!) And then I spread the spider web all on the front glass door. (NOTE: Never spread the spider webs while wearing your wedding ring, it loves those, OR if you bite your nails, and all your nails are rough edged and have hang nails, it loves those too. I seriously walked away with more of the spiderweb attached to me than to the door!) I also put that 'barbed wire' around the railing that leads to our front door, I'm guessing, in the dark, it totally looks like real barbed wire.... But we are mostly done decorating, I'm waiting for the maple tree out front to start losing it's leaves so I can get those jack-o-lantern leaf bags (yes, I really am THAT lame!) I would like to hang something from that tree, I'm just not sure what right now, I'm checking out things to mark for it, I might just do some ghosties, all I need it white fabric.... not sure not sure not sure.... I will keep everyone posted on all that. (PS: We have our costumes picked out, just need to be made...)

Oh, Mark got back from Nebraska last night, he didn't kill me anything, so we're hoping for better luck next time. He needs to get more arrows for his next trip, but he's got that deer tag, so we're excited for venison!! :) He told me that his knife came in handy, he got stuck in a lake bed that had a road going thru it, and pulled off the road just a big, and sloshed in the muck. He had to cut branches and trees and create levers to get out. Way to go knife!! I'm glad he's home!

Blue? like Smurf blue, but better!

She asked for blue, yeah she said blue. She did not specify what shade or howmuch blue. So I improvised a little.... Ok, you got me, I did what I wanted, and I hoped it turned out cute. So I had blue spray paint from another project (I still haven't posted about that one yet, Bandit ate half of it, and I lost my ambition for it.) And I had one frame left from those FREE roadside frames we picked up! (I'm using one of the frames for another project. I MP'd the clothes pins and added cute embellishments to the frame. I added some colored hemp string and some colored ribbon. I love how this turned out! It is so cute!! I am so exctied to make another one! I loved making this one, and I loved making the clothespins! They are so dang cute!! I'm excited to give this my friend for her birthday! :) I've got more things to post about later, so I'm excited to share it all with you!

Mark is hunting in Nebraska this weekend, we'll just have to see what he gets when he gets back! :) It's hard having him gone, we have only been apart for 1 day since we've been married. But it's bound to happen more, he's got a few weekends planned where he will be hunting, plus, I am going to Texas to help my sister with wedding stuff next weekend, and I'll be gone for 2 days. :) I love him, and I'm excited to see him tomorrow.

we got ourselves a BIRD DOG

So, today we're getting ready to head to the new library and I went into the house, and then Mark hollered for me to come outside to look at my pup. So I came outside and this is what Mark had to show me: a scruffy faced pup-a-lup with feathers in his beard. Apparently, Mark shot a dove and it fluttered down to the yard and the Bandit got it and made sure it stopped flopping around. He eventually brought it to Mark, but he made sure it had the least amount of feathers on it when he gave it to Mark. It was pretty exciting and it was really fun to watch Bandit run and jump and get so excited for this bird. He was so cute jumping around. He's been really good when Mark takes him killing things, he's been listening quite a bit better. (Of course Mark did bring treats last time he went shooting.) It's been pretty fun having the puppy around, having him finally grow up :)

Oh, and my craft projects might be put on hold for a while, we're going to be making our Halloween costumes, you can bet your last pair of flip flops that I'll taking pictures thru the whole process, and if these costumes turn out in ANY way how I have them pictured in my head, I think they'll be pretty dang awesome!! Woot!!

Lots of love - Bry and Mark
