In like a lion out like a lamb...

Ok, so, this month has been crazy!! We moved at the beginning of March, Shark started his Mosquito job right away on March 1st, and then got into the job at FedEx towards the middle of March. I've been crafting tons and tons, cuz I really haven't had anything to do. I started right away putting in applications and sending information requests for what I found online, but it was only on Tuesday that I got a good response and a job offer. And once I got the job offer for Home Depot, Shark's mom offered me a job at the city, everything happened at once it was amazing! We've been living in Steve and Heather's basement since we got here. They have been amazing and awesome! They have a projector to watch movies and play Xbox on, and we brought our Wii, and our huge box of movies. Our dogs LOVE playing together, and have fun fighting over toys and sticks and food. Our little dog wouldn't jump into the back of anyone's truck, and neither would Trigger, but over the past 2 weeks, they both have jumped in the back of my truck! Heather and I have been crafting pretty much anything that comes to mind. People have been asking about me starting an Etsy store.... I really have been getting things ready to open the Store.

This is just a little post, because I'm behind, and I can't really remember what happened that day. But I can tell you that the month of March was frustrating for me. Shark had started his 2nd job, and I was just sitting at home, not working. I hate being completely able and willing to work, but unable to find a place to work! But things finally turned around at the end of the month. I ended up getting 2 jobs!!

Love to all -

Easter Treats

So today Heather and I made Easter Smores in a Jar!! I had seen these in the blog-o-sphere a little while ago, and had no real desire to make them, until I couldn't find anything to do... So BAM - Easter Peeps Smores were crafted!! I actually found the recipe and idea here at Lisa's Workshop, and we created them today! She's got a cute little tag that goes with them, recipe is on the tag.

Heather and I each made 1.

Heather's is on the left, mine is on the right, with the little ribbons. They were so fun, and easy to make!! Now, we're making one to eat it...

Today, I got a call around 2 pm, asking if I had time to set up an interview. Here's the deal : I randomly applied at Home Depot yesterday, I didn't know they were hiring, I just applied, it seemed like a good idea. They called, I had an interview at 5, I got offered the job as a cashier, tomorrow I take a drug test, and I start work after that. But, Shark's mom called yesterday, right after I got home from Home Depot, she had a position open at the City, and she was offering me a job. -I think it's funny how, once I had decided to let things take their course, and leave it in the Lord's hands, everything starts coming together and working! Now.... To find a house....

Love to all--

Hello World

So yeah... my email is down, no more showing the world the goods... :)

Anyways, today I woke up and did my excercising, and then I showered, so fresh and so clean clean. And then I went up to apply at more jobs, and then I went into the Recreation Building to see Shark's mom. I've been doing raffles for them, and last week's raffle was football stickers {stickers I created on my Cricut..}. Well, yesterday, I got my transfer tape, I bought it off ebay, and went in to the office to go tape up the stickers. Then, since Shark's mom wasn't at the office, I stopped by the house. I put a DVD season up on ebay for her, and then we got stuck watching Lost.... I was already hooked, Shark and I are on season 6, the final season. I bought season 6 on her AppleTV, since Shark and I like watching it whenever we want, and his schedule doesn't allow for regular programmed television {he works from 7am-9pm each day, 2 jobs.} Well, Shark and I watched 1 episode of Lost, and his mom was so confused. (When you buy a TV show on the AppleTV, it's only for the season, but you get all kinds of webisodes and rgndom stuff with it.) Well, with Lost we got some recap episodes. Me and Shark's mom recapped the entire series yesterday, seasons 1-5. Then we started watching season 6. It's still confusing to me and Shark, and his mom is still a little confused, but that's just part of being a Lost-y.... I came home just in time to make Shark a pizza, and then head off to bed.

I was going to get fishes for the turtle, Chomps, but I had no way of paying for fishes... My day wasn't just all about Lost, I figured out some finances, switched our auto-insurance to Utah, got Shark's schooling figured out, and ebay-ed.

Lost isn't the only show we got his family hooked on. We also introduced them to Burn Notice. They love it!! So Yayay for a new show!!! ♥

So ladies, as soon as I get the invite, I'm taking me email address off...

POTD  for today is : Bandit hiding behind a green pillow... Peek-a-boo!!

love to all who get hooked on tv shows.....

Weekend of FOOD!

So yesterday, I went to a baby shower for a friend of mine. I gave her some of the onesie's I made on Thursday, and Monday. It was so good to see her again, we traded phone numbers, because chances are I'll still be around the house, doing nothing really.... We chatted and had a good time with her friends and family and got some way cute ideas for little Whitney's blessing party. And I had a lady ask about my necklace, and then she asked when I had open heart surgery! I wasn't bothered at all, but I guess she thought I was because I blushed super red. I don't know why I always blush when people ask or talk about my surgery. Maybe because I embarass easily, whenever I talk about myself. But her son had open heart surgery, he's 12, and I told her about the Congential Heart Futures Act, she had no idea about it. But after the bab shower, my mother-in-law and I stopped at Sam's Club, she had to get her member card, and then we shopped. Lots of food that really wasn't needed.... Oh well. And, as if that wasn't enough shopping, we stopped at Wal-Mart aftewards. {I needed stuff to make pies!!}

So we spent all day at the store and driving around (we got lost somewhere around Riverton/South Jordan area...) but we eventually got where we were supposed to go. We brought all the food in, and when we got home, there was a fire in the backyard! Shark's dad, Dave, built a forge so he could make a broad sword. It's pretty awesome! The end result of the sword is pretty freaking sweet. He said it's not done yet.

I got home with an hour to get ready for dinner with some friends. Shark went to Jr High and High school with Ryan and Ashlee, and Ashlee reads my blog, and we finally met last night!! It was so much fun to get together and hang out. Their little boy Carter is so dang cute!! It was really nice to finally meet face-to-face!!

Today, I'll be making the awesome Minestroganoff {by Rachael Ray, BUT it is NOT on the rachael ray website, it's on the rachael ray MAGAZINE website. Lame-sauce!!} But Shark LOVES this soup thing. I'm not exactly sure what's it's called.... But it's dang good!! So I made a...um...triple batch..I guess. I don't really measure anything, I kinda just throw it in the pot.

But I tried to make a pie with FRESH berries. It's my usual strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry pie, that Shark has kindly named JumbleBerry pie {Razzleberry was taken}. But this pie doesn't have blueberries in it, just the first 3 types of berries I listed. The excitment has been brewing all afternoon! Here is the fresh berry mix, ready to be "sewn" in, with my criss-cross lattice top.

And this is the pie made, and ready to go into the oven.

Today's POTD is : the baked JumbleBerry pie, ready for eatin'!!

love to all who love food too ♥

Day on the town

So, today, there was a lunch thing for the baby shower tomorrow. Me and Shark's mom went to that. Then we went to Wal-Mart, I have an idea I'd like to follow thru on. I saw these Easter Peeps Smores in a jar things, and I want to make some. And I also bought a new book, it looks and sounds pretty good. Then, we picked up Heather and went to the boutique in Ogden. Now, I have to be honest, when I go to boutiques I just look at things and get ideas, because realistically, I'm not going to pay $25 for a picture of the SLC temple, especially if I don't like the frame, and the picture is only so-so, but the phrase on it is awesome!! So, I've already got an idea brewing about something I could make for about $9, depending on where I get the plate from, and how much it is....

But today had a plethora of Utah weather showcased, it rained, it snowed, there was a rainbow, it hailed, it was sunny, it was cloudy, and I just wore a t-shirt. :) But it really didn't matter, because we were inside the boutique for most of it. There was all kinds of good stuff there. But my favorite thing I bought was from Thots'N'Dreams, it's a little jar full of thoughts on whatever topic you pick out. I picked out 6 little jars : Marriage, Love, Adveristy, Prayer, Temples, and Gratitude. So far, they have been awesome!!

Love : love is the only passion which includes in its dreams the happiness of someone else - Karr

Well, when we got home, I went outside to see the puppies. Well, after a day of mixed-bag weather, and being locked out of the house, our puppies were DIRTY!! I immediately dragged Bandit downstairs for a bath.

That's about how it went. I had to drain the water once, and refill the bathtub with new water, it was so dirty. But now he's all clean!! :)

Move time tonight with the whole family and a bunch of friends! Yayayay!! Today, at the movie, I was in line getting more tickets, and the lady commented on my washer necklace. She said, it's almost like chain-mail. Me: Yes it is. TicketLady: Do you know what chain mail is? Me: Yes. Lady: What is it?? Me: It's little metal circles looped together to create armor worn under shields and plating. Lady: Correct!! Me thinking : What on earth was that? Who is she to test MY knowledge of armor and weapons, when my in-laws' living room is decorated with spears, swords and knives, that were all handmade?! Crazy lady!!

POTD: Bandit's muddy dirty face! Looking at me like, yeah whatever, do what you want, IT WAS FUN!

Love to all who get dirty.... ♥

Strip to fit

So, a while back, like when I moved back to WI, after my failed attempt at college and failed attempt at life out in Utah, I bought Carmen Electra's Strip to Fit. I remember, I was with my friend Heather and I bought disc 1 and she bought disc 2. Well, this Strip to Fit DVD has been with me everywhere, every house I moved to, every state change. Well, when I moved to Utah the 2nd time, after I got my first CAD job out here, I had started to go thru the routines. I had to time it just right, I'm not exactly a pro, and it would have been so embarassing to have my roommate walk in to find me in my sweats attempting to strip... No one sees me when I do this, no one sees me when I excercise, I look like a dork, or at least I think I do... But a while ago, I made a list of goals, and on my list was : 4. Get into shape (self confidence). Well, what better way to get into shape than to start striping (for personal use ONLY!!) and doing the strip to fit, helps my confidence tons!! (Well, staring at Carmen Electra for an hour doesn't help, but feeling like I'm doing something really good does help!) I can honestly say, that I am out of shape (don't shake your head, it's true!!) and I feel good lately cuz I've been trying to work out and trying to be be healthy. Plus, this DVD I bought is 100% husband approved! He doesn't mind at all!! :) I just bought the entire set, on Amazon for $20! Plus, with me still out of the job, I have all the time in the world for excercise. So this kinda shady fitness DVD will finally get some use. I switch it up, the Strip DVD and the Wii Fit.... both do a good job in getting me to hurt.

Anyways, I must have done a "hip flick" with too much oomph, cuz seriously, the muscle that is my butt hurts so bad!! That means, it's working, right? Shark tells me, it's just a sacrifice for the good in life. Ha! I can say, the routines work every muscle! I was planning on walking the dog today, but it got cloudy... I might still go, after our craft-day, but I've got to find a sweatshirt.

POTD : is the picture above, my Wii Fit Plus and my Carmen Electra Stip to Fit DVD 1! Cuz I wouldn't hurt so much if I didn't have them... ;)

Love to all who have ambitions.... or alterior motives....

crafting prep

Hey Mel, I'd love to read up on your blog, get to know you, in the blogging-sense at least. So, if you feel so inclined, please send me an invite!! ♥☺

So today, Heather and I are getting ready for our craft day tomorrow! We bought some way cute onesie's. And we're planning on making onesies for girls and boys. Cuz Heather has a little girl, and McKenzie is having a girl in May. So that is what we were doing today.

I also dropped my taxes in the mail today. And I also sent off my letter of disqualification for Jury Duty for the state of Colorado. So we'll just have to see if they accept it or not.

Ok, so I got a comment a few days ago, asking me why I don't start an Etsy store to sell my crafts? Well, I've been thinking about it, and giving it some serious thought. The crafts I would sell are : chicken wire boards, wallets, flip flops, temple photo frames, iSpy bottles, and onesies. And most things wouldn't be custom or personal, it would just be crafty things. And I would definitly not see the Etsy store as my sole income, I proabably wouldn't rely on it for any substantial income. But here's the thing : Should I do it?

Should I start an Etsy store?

POTD is : the puppies in the kitchen. My spoiled speckled pup is on the rug, he always finds a soft spot for his bottom!!

love to all who love extra butter on their popcorn {and even those who don't...♥}

To be lazy

So, today a few things are happening. I opened my facebook today, to find many responses to my status. I put on my status: I'm wondering.... What's the point of health insurance, if health care just went universal. Woah!! I really didn't mean to open a can of worms! I had all kinds of comments and people fighting, telling me not to listen to someone else who commented. Now, I have come to realize that we all have different opinions and views and we also have different situations, situations that ALLOW and teach us to look at things in a different light. For example : Shark and I have come to realize that health insurance and health care is very neccesary in OUR lives. With an announcement of open heart surgery just 4 months after being married, yeah, we NEED health insurance. Shark is going to be working 2 jobs just so we can have health insurance. {It sucks big time, cuz I still don't have 1 job!!} But also in getting the announcement of open heart surgery, we have come to realize that family is so very important. He is the most important thing in my life, and I am the most important thing is his. I would do anything for my husband, and he's already proved over and over, that he would do anything for me. SO yeah, I'm uneducated about the whole health care reform thing, trust me, that is going to change. Now.... to find an unbiased writing of it.... I found a summary here...I especially "like" the part about "Ensuring shared responsibility." And then I found the bill in it's 1990 page entirety here. Go Mr. Dingell.... {yes, I laughed at his name, you already know I'm immature...} And Mr. Stark, I love you in Ironman....♥

Today is March 23rd, and today, the finaly installment in the Fablehaven series hits the stores!! Shark and I and his whole family are excited about it!! I'm pretty sure his folks pre-ordered, not 1, but 2 books!! Shark and I started reading it when his family sent us home with the first 3 books, back in November.

Today is also the last evening Shark will have where he is NOT working. So, we're making plans for tonight. Which means, we're going to be eating pie later, and probably watching a movie!!

Today I opened my email-inbox to find some exciting news. On Sunday, Obama signed the Congential Heart Futures Act. "On Sunday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 3590, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, by a vote of 219-212. The bill included the CHD patient registry and NIH research provisions from the Congenital Heart Futures Act (S. 621/H.R. 1570). President Obama officially enacted the CHFA into law with his signature, today. This is a significant milestone towards a congenital heart disease (CHD) registry and increased research in CHD as a chronic disease that requires life-long care." -Taken from my email from The Adult Congenital Heart Association. Go here for the bill. In the bill, it states Many individuals with congenital heart disease are unaware that they require life-long specialized health sureillance (Page 3, Line 24)-- I was one of those individuals, at least until last year.

Today's POTD is : Bandit in the laundry. I emptied the hamper looking for a shirt, to make sure it was dirty, because it seems that I keep losing my clothes..... The little dog slept right thru everything. Playing with Trigger sure makes the doggie tired!!!

Love to all you bookworms -

Crafty Monday

So, since alot of my friends here in Utah all have boys, and my friends in Colorado are all having boys, and since me and Heather did little ruffle-bum onesie's for the girls, I decided to do a boy onesie craft!! There just aren't alot of cute boy clothes. Girls are easy, you just slap a bow or flower on their head, and *BAM* cuteness!! {NOTE : Don't really slap them, mothers give you the fish-eye if you make their babies cry!}So I searched the blog-o-sphere and found some cute applique patterns, and then after doing that, Heather and I searched the clipart collection that is the internet and found some way cute little pictures that worked perfect!!

Some girls were planning on coming over, but ended up not making it, we're planning another applique craft day on Thursday around 12. I'm now a pro at applique-ing so it should be a breeze. And I've got loads of fabric, I dug in my boxes yesterday, after Heather and I made the onesie's, and found ALL my fabric from making sandals. So, the result is : tons of fabric for onesies.

I had an idea a week or so ago, and I bought the $1 wood frame from Michael's, and printed off the picture of the temple. And, Heather and I were going to make them the night we made the onesie's, but we both had plans with friends, so the frame got put off. And put off, and put off.... Until yesterday. We made the frames yesterday.

This one is mine. I L♥VE how these turned out. Shark asked where I got idea from, and I told him I just came up with it one night when I was trying to get to sleep. (I've been having a hard time getting to sleep lately....) But after Heather and I made them, I went to a boutique store, where all kinds of crafters sell stuff, and immediately saw these exact frames, with different paper, but still, it was the same idea!!! Oh well..

This is Heather's. They aren't completely done, but I wanted to show how they turned out so far. Upon completion, I'll take another picture!!

Today's POTD is : The craft table. Heather's craft table, loaded with all kinds of stuff!!!

Love to all the crafters at ♥  -   {Even Shark is a crafter at heart, he makes swords, knives, and he usually makes things better than when he picked it up!! EX: He made a truck-bed rack out of a broken bed frame!

Update...kind of

Sorta... Ok, myabe it's just an update to tell everyone that nothing has changed.... Nothing really exciting happened this weekend, or since my last post... Things have been the same really.

Shark and I went to a wedding reception on Thursday. And Shark went rabbit hunting on Saturday. Heather and I went and hung out with Tasha on Saturday, since our husbands all went hunting together. I've got some more ideas for crafts.... But I kinda feel odd about crafting, since I have no where to put my new made crafts... So do I stop? Mmmmm, not likely. But I might just have to get another box and put all my newly made crafts in it. That sounds like a good plan.

I've got a craft day planned for me and some girlfriends. I'm hoping things go down like I've got planned. Hopefully pictures will follow.

Also, I have decided to start going to Institute... Now, to find an Institute class to go to... Ogden or Layton? And since Shark is also going to working at FedEx sometime soon, I have to make the decision on which class, which day, which time...Any suggestions will be appreciated...

So yeah, I've got crafts planned, they just need to be created... Also there is a boutique in Ogden this week, me and the mother-in-law are planning on going. I love getting ideas from the boutiques.  I'll try to be better about posting and doing fun things.
Ok, I totally just looked at my blog. I have had over 9500 views!! Holy Crap!! (most of those views are probably from me, checking and editting what I write!) But that is still way awesome!! I checked my sitemeter thing, and I've had visitors from across the country and across the world!! I've had a view from Malaysia!! Good heavens!! That's freaking awesome!!
Love, love, L♥VE to all of you -

St Pats and slurpees

So, today, I had an intereview... at a craft store.... everybody I've told says "You Collards will be poor if you work there." We'll just have to see how I did... Then I went to drop off an application at a hardware store up in Ogden. I'm not naming any names, but it's a store that Shark and his dad love, and everyone I've told says, "You Collards will be poor if you work there." So, yeah... Looks like we're destined to be poor....I say, if we're happy, who needs money?!

My job-searching adventure got a slow start this morning. There was a semi-oil-tanker-truck roll over on I-15, in the northbound lane. So, of course, I was heading north to Ogden, and all the traffic from the highway was detoured onto Main Street... I had to be creative in my route to get to the craft store. Thank my stars I know my way around Clinton/Roy (sorta). I made it. After the searching, I headed to Clinton City Recreation Department. Clinton City was having their Senior Luncheon. I told Shark's mom that I'd help sever the cute little old people, in exchange for food. It was pretty fun.

Anyways, yesterday was Shark's best friend Smitty's birthday. Smitty's wife, Polo, planned a dinner-out with a bunch of his friends and their wives. We went to Red Robin, and then we went to get Smitty his annual birthday Slurpee. Shark did NOT wear green, I did. So when he realized it was St. Patrick's Day, he went in for the pinch, only to be shot down, because I was wearing green. I pinched him instead.

Oohh!! In all my searching, and organizing, I decided to just give up and clean up our room. I got a box of hangers from the garage, and started hanging up the clothes that were still in boxes on the floor. And lo and behold - under the hangers was : my flat iron, my shampoo (I bought new stuff), my make-up, our tooth-brushes (we got new ones), and our dog shampoo (he's started to smell kinda...). So yayayay!! I found it! Now to get the room cleaned up all the way and organized. I also need to find some of my pictures, the walls are blank!!

We had lots of fun going to dinner with our friends. Now I'm just waiting on a picture of us at dinner.... Once I get it, I'll re-post!!

POTD for Wednesday is : the whole gang together!! Happy Birthday Smitty!!

Love to all you Irishfolk!!

To craft or not to craft

So yesterday I stalked some blogs.....and I found a washer necklace! Here's where I found the idea for the Washer necklace. I decided to TRY a tutorial....

Unbag all the washers.

Sting 2 washers to start. I string my washers on the END at my RIGHT hand. ***I suggest you start in the middle!! Not at the end!*** You may end of 'sliding' the washers all "down" the ribbon some.

Next, you'll want to go BACK thru the first washer. For me, the 1st is the left one.... My washers are going to be strung from the RIGHT..  Heading this way  .

Next, you're going to go back thru the 2nd washer.  {Remember, the end of my string I put the washers ON is always pointing RIGHT.}

Pull the ribbong tight so the washers pull snug right together.

Now it's time the the Third....

Take the end of the ribbon, and loop it thru the 2nd washer.

Now, sting the ribbon back thru the middle of the 3rd washer. And then pull it tight. When pulling the washers tight, you may have to fidget with the ribbon and the washers a little bit. That's an awfully awkward angle to be pulling ribbon back and forth smoothly at, so just ease it where you want it.

Once you figure out the first 3 or so, it goes smoothly. It's just repitition....
Once you figure out the first 3 or so, it goes smoothly. It's just repitition....

I had to slide all the washers down to be about in the middle of the ribbon, when I was done. I'd suggest you start your washers somewhere around the middle of your ribbon, just make sure you have enough on each end to tie.

Ta da!! I like my necklace, cuz it's reversible!!

So cute!!

And THAT, my lucky 2 readers, is my first tutorial!! And you can bet your pennies, that the dog was NO help!. Here is what HE did all while I was making my necklace....

Yeah!! Oh well.....

POTD : Shark and I went on a date tonight.... Mmmmm! Ice cream!!

Love to e'erybody, you awesome!!

Back to daily

Here is my next re-adventure. I hope to go back to blogging daily. We'll just have to see how this goes for now. And it might all change in the next week or so, depending on if I get a job.... {Cross your fingers!!}

So, in regards to Sunday's post, I have cute ideas for little baby girls, but have no fear, I have cute ideas for little baby BOYS too!! I'm not sexist! So, if my friends have little boys instead of little girls (and even if their boys aren't so "little" - I've got cute ideas!!)

Anyways, so today - we churched, but we "ward-floated" - which means, we went to a different building for our meeting. It's not hard to do, because it's Utah, and there are churches ever few blocks or so. So Shark and I decided we'd go back to the single's ward (that's where the 'magic' started!!) It was pretty fun to see everyone again. After the meeting we stopped by the parents' house for food. The parents' house is 2 blocks away from the single's ward building. Shark wanted cake and ice cream and cookies and meat. I decided to make homemade oreos. And in spirit of St. Patrick's Day on Wednesday, I used Icing Coloring to make the cream cheese frosting GREEN! It was very fun and the oreos turned out great!!

And I just found out that a friend of mine is having a boy! Yay JeNeil!! So, the new task for Heather and I is : cute baby boy things!! The gears are already turning!!!

POTD for today is : green oreos!! SO delicious!!

Love to all --

Monday Night Football....planning....?

Saturday night Shark shaved for his interveiw tomorrow. Well, he half shaved.... He ended up with this.

This will NOT be staying, not if I have anything to do about it!! He assures me that the 'stache won't be staying for the interview... He's pretty cute, and I love him, but I love him with a goatee more than I love him with a mustache....just a little bit more...

So Shark has always worked at the City Recreation department, well, he's worked there since he was 8 or so. And of course, it makes perfect sense for him just jump right back in!! So, since his mom works there, and everybody who has ever met him has l♥ved him {it's true!!} he started going to meetings right away. Today was no expection. He had a football meeting tonight, and they were going to film about coaching practices. It was pretty fun, yes I went along too. Although, not much filming went on, more like talking about it, and I just sat in the office the whole time, blog-stalking. Well, among my stalks {suddenly I feel sparkly....} I found a washer necklace! I've seen these lots before, but I guess I always thought of washers as tools.... hardware.... not fashion. Well, I broke down, and bought some washers, and some $1 ribbon from JoAnn's {double-sided ribbon, too!!} and decided to make one!

I will do that TOMORROW!! Today's POTD is Shark's new creeper 'stache....

Love to all who ♥ barbarians.... I do!!

Out and about

Last night, Shark and I got asked to a movie. His friend Smitty asked Shark to a movie, well, Smitty asked Shark and I if we wanted to go on a double date with him and his wife, Polo*. We said yes, and went all went to go see Alice in Wonderland. Ok, to be honest, neither Shark nor I were really that impressed with the trailers we'd seen, and when you bring Tim Burton and Johnny Depp together, you just get creepy. But I wanted to see it anyways (I'd learned that it was really Alice's RETURN to Wonderland, and that hooked me!), but I knew I would never be able to talk Shark around. But when Smitty asked, I did a little "Yes!" and a fist-pump inside... It turned out to be pretty good. Johnny Depp wasn't really Johnny Depp in it, and that made it amazing! Thanks for inviting us, it really was a good time!!

Heather had a baby shower for her cousin, today around 1, and earlier this week, we had decided to make ruffle-butt onesies, and some flower bows for little babies. So, we went and got some really cute ribbon. And we kind of cheated a little, we didn't actually ruffle any fabric or ribbon.

We bought "pre-ruffled ribbon, we didn't have access to a serger, and neither of us really knew how to use one if we did.... But I think the ruffle butt onesie's turned out super cute, and I want all my friend's to have little girl's now!!

When I was sewing the ruffles on the onesie's, Bandit found a comfy spot under the table. He was pouting all morning cuz Shark left him home from killing. He stayed right by me all morning, that's how I know he was pouting....

We also made some flower bows, and here are some pitcures of them! Heather had some "No Slip Kitchen Liner" (I have some aslo, but as of right now, I have NO IDEA where it is...) and we put some dots on the inside of the clips, so they don't slip out of the headband, and so they don't slip out of her hair when she gets older!!

The boys got home from hunting/fishing or something that involves killing, before we left for the shower. When I went downstairs, I found both my boys curled up on the Love-Sac, snoozing... Shark mumbled something about a blanket, so I found one, and put it on them.
Ok, I really think Blogger has something wrong with it, I have pictures in my Windows Explorer and they show up just fine, when I go to UPLOAD A PICTURE in the blogger toolbar, they show up all goofy. Sorry for the "Chalupa-Neck" pictures.... ☺
*Polo got her nickname, because apparently she said "Hey Mark-o" to Shark, and he replied, "Hey Polo!"

Love to all who still check daily, sorry I'm a slacker!! -

Change

Hmmm, so things have been tossed up in the air for a little while... OK, for the past week, I have been wandering aimlessly around Northern Utah. But I think I have the rein on things, for a while at least. I'm still working on getting a job, so far, no dice. Anyways, I know that I've been kind of breif and bland, I haven't really said anything about being in Utah. So, I'm going to give everybody a run-down.

We moved into Shark's brother and sister-in-law's basement. We live with Steve and Heather now!! They have a big brown lab, named Trigger. Bandit and Trigger are best friends, all they do is play and wrestle and run and fetch and tug-o-war. Oh, they also sleep. But mostly play.

Most of our stuff is still in boxes out in the garage. The room we're staying in is still a big huge mess. I still can't find a bunch of stuff, but I did just find my camera yesterday. ☺ Steve and Heather just had a baby girl, Whitney, in January. She's so cute and wiggly, and so smiley!! Bandit is so curious about little Whit, he has never seen or heard a little baby before. Sure, he's been around kids, but not little tiny newborns....

Shark's parents came out to Colorado to get us, Shark's oldest brother Kurt came out to help, too. We stayed at the parent's house for a few days, I was feeling sick, and didn't want Whitney or Heather to get sick. Shark's mom works for Clinton City Recreation, and she was asking me all kinds of questions about Facebook. I went in to the office and helped get their facebook page up and running, and we're trying to get them more fans. So I've been going in to work with her. It's been pretty fun, the City is a pretty chill place to work. On Sunday, we walked to church, cuz it's Utah, and the church building is 2 blocks away...  I'm glad to move to a place where I already know where most store and things are. I'm not lost like I was when I moved to CO, I had to google everything then. Ooh, and Heather and I have been crafting. I've come up with some cute little ideas. Not really my own ideas, but things I figured Heather would like. And I was right.

But so far, things have been going great. Shark started a job right away when we got here, and then had an interview this past Monday for FedEx, we're crossing our fingers for any kind of job with benefits, because that is what we really need right now!! I had some tests in Colorado, the day we left, but I haven't gotten any kind of word on results yet. Oh, and I'm still trying to get my Walgreens.com account to work so I can transfer me presciptions over without hassle, ha, as if something so simple as that would really work for me.... So far, no dice! Right now, all we're worried about is benefits, a job for me and which craft to do next... Things are going good. We love being around family!

love to those who had lost us for a while --
