Wisconsin Trip!

Alright, Shark and I went to Wisconsin last week. Shark fished all week and hung out with the family. I hung out with the family. My mom also threw me a baby shower while I was there. It was alot of fun!
**LOTS OF PHOTOS**

My parents have a dog, Allie. She's a collie, and she gets lost easily. :)

My parents also have deer. They feed the deer, and have for the past 7 years or so. One morning, Shark and I woke up to 2 fawns eating. Photo taken from the kitchen.

My parents have a pond. My dad stocks the pond with bass, blue gill, perch, and rainbow trout. Shark was having the best vacation ever, waking up to fishing every morning!

Our family has a tradition of sorts. Most summers we go look at waterfalls. We have usually gone with another family, my mom's best-friend-in-the-whole-wide-world's family when they come to visit. This year we went just us, but my dad came! We went to Dave's Falls State Park. It was a nice hike (yes I did it!) and tha falls were beautiful. Shark and my dad started trying to get lures and bobbers out of trees at the end!

My mom threw my a baby shower, with the help of my sisters! It was alot of fun! More pictures would have been taken if we hadn't had so much fun talking to the girls!

Shark was kept busy by my dad and my brother. He and my brother started throwing the football around. They threw it from the trampoline, they played 500 off the roof, they threw it to the dog. My dad needed Shark's help with the basketball hoop installation. Now, if he only gets that court paved, he'll play some ball.

Our trip to Wisconsin was loads of fun, and very relaxing. We got to sleep in as much as we could, and fish as much as we wanted, and just hang out. It was so much fun! Thanks mom and dad!!

Love to the family! ♥

Transform!

No, not a post dedicated to the Autobots... but I can tell that I'm really turning into a Collard... Last night I got gas at the Sinclair on 89, and I looked down and found a lone earring.

I knew I was transforming when my first thought was : That would make a great fishing lure! Yeah... Either into a Collard, Shark's companion of 2 and a half years, or an Outdoor show host.... So now this earring is in my possession and soon to be in Shark's tackle box. That boy has changed me in so many good ways, looks like I'm making the full change. If I start to wear work boots, and khaki Dickies, call my mom and my sisters.

I told Shark tonight about it when he got home, he started taking it apart to make it into a fishing lure, because he agreed with me, it would make a GREAT fishing lure.

Love to those who will still love me when I wear camo all the time, and drive in a truck that's always dirty.. ♥

Fish Fry!

Today there was a fish fry for the City's fishing club. I went to help out with that, and the food was great! It had been raining off and on all day, but there was a break in the rain long enough to get the grill going and to deep fry some catfish.

Some ducks are the park. As soon as we set up the food, these ducks charged the table, they know what food is, and they know they get fed if they come around.

POTD for 5.18.10 is : a Pelican and a Crane at the pond! (these pics were taking with my phone!)

Love to all who love getting out!!

a loss

So, one of my beta fishes died. I'm not really sure when, but I found it this morning floating on top of the water. I had 2 left, out of 4. I bought these little fish back when we first got married. So these are old fish. But they've been pretty durable. So now, I just have Pita left. Pita is one of the original 2 I bought, I had to restock after Maximus died, so I bought 2 (Guido and Noodles), Noodles died a few months ago, and Guido is the one that just died. So Pita is the last one, and I hear, there can be only one.... (All we are is dust in the wind...) But I'm thinking of what little pet to get in 2010, last year we got the Bandit and some turtles.... We still have the evil turtle left, the snapping turtle that wants me fingers, and the Bandit is alive and healthy. (Bandit got a bunch of deer steak that Mark was thawing out yesterday, so he is so dang happy.) The year before Mark and I got married, I tried to have an aquarium of little fishes (I even had a dragon fish!) but all of those died, even the frog. So, I got into the beta fish, and I've been using vases from the wedding reception. I'm not sure what to get, I'm thinking of just getting another beta, or maybe a hermit crab, but really, I think I'll just ignore them both. But I think I'm going to go browse the pet store tomorrow, and pick out a new fish! (Fish are just easier.) So who knows. Maybe I'll have Mark come with and help me pick out an awesome one. oh well. get ready for some more little projects to come thru. I've already got the spark, and I've got a load of new ideas!!

Family, camping and fishes!

This past weekend, Mark's brother and sister-in-law Steve and Heather, came to visit us! It was tons of fun! We went camping at Pike's National Forest. It was way cold at night, but other than that it was a real good time. We woke up the next morning and went fishing at Jefferson Lake. (The lake still had snow around it. And not like a little bit of snow, like 1 foot in some places, even more in others!) But Heather caught the frst fish (lake trout) and then we all caught fish after that (rainbow trout). I caught the last fish (rainbow) but I was also the fisher-queen because I was the first to catch the limit of 4 fish. It was pretty fun. We then brought the fish home to cook em up, but the 10 fish we caught camping, plus the 10 fish Mark caught the day before was alot of fish. So of course, the boys decided to go fishing AGAIN. Steve caught a huge bass! But the boys brought back tons of fish from that trip too! Mark said that Steve caught 40 fish and Mark caught 30, put threw alot back (thank goodness!) So our fridge is FULL of fishes, Steve and Heather forgot to take the fish home! But the weekend was a good one, it was alot of fun.

Steve and Heather went home Sunday around noon. Mark and I went to church and all the sudden we hear a siren going off. And not like a police siren or a ambulance siren, more along the lines of a tornado siren. The kids kinda start to freak out, but I try to calm them best I can (it works), and everything was fine. We later find out, there was tornado over by the Costco, pretty much at the intersection of Hwy 7 and I-25. And there were at least 5 other tornadoes that were spotted around the Denver-Metro area. So... yeah... I guess it's true, after you get east of the mountains, Colorado DOES become Kansas! Everything was fine, I actually wasn't worried about anything (we don't have cable, so we don't hear about things right away....It's not too bad of a thing really, it just takes us a while to hear the latest thing.)

Love always,
bry & mark
