no brainer
So, I haven't posted in a long time for a few reasons!
1) This house stuff is still going on, and anytime I get to a computer, I have to print, scan, fax and email everything! It's not all bad, tho. Our lender is still shooting to close on the 30th. (Yeah, that's Monday for those who aren't sure what day it is, and yes I had to look that up!)
2) I starteda new job. I am a seasonal merchandising and pricing employee at Tai Pan Trading. Shark calls this place the Trading Post. Smitty's wife, Polo, has worked there for a while, and said they were hiring. They were hiring a while ago, but with everything going on at the City and my not knowing what Tai Pan was, I started working for the City. Man, I really should have gotten into this place a while back! It's pretty awesome!
3) We have to register both of our trucks this month. {No idea who planned it out like that, but it kinds sucks!} So now I'm running around getting this safety inspected, emissions tested, new tires, finding registrations, finding titles, driving down to the DMV. Yeah, things are pretty crazy. I got the big truck registered a 2 weeks ago, and we had hoped that the motorcycle would be up and running so we didn't have to register te little truck for a while, but Shark has been so exhausted with work and getting things going for school... Yeah, plus all the house stuff has taken up most of either of our free time.
4) I've been pretty lazy and tired lately. This house business is really stressing me out. It's like hopping from 1 foot to the other every 13 minutes. {Why 13? Cuz it's not like it's scheduled or anything, it's completely random!} Yes we're getting it, oh, but only if we find this paper from 3 years ago, yay, we're back on! Oh wait, sign this or it all falls apart.... Are the renters out yet? What about insurance? When do we get utilities up? Appraisal? Oh wait, we're accepted thru you guys?! Yes, we have a house... Maybe we have a house... Cross your fingers!! It's been kind of awful, even Shark is stressing, and he doesn't stress! He's been worried lately about the house and if the loan is going thru and what's going to happen, and he never worries. He leaves the worrying to me! Ugh...
5) Plus my headaches just won't seem to fade or go away.... Maybe there is a grandpa Favre correlation... Goodness, I hope not, my headaches will never go away if there is... But seriously, my headaches have been plain awful lately... and it really sucks! I got sleep with a headache, I wake up with the same headache, it's a neverending headache again!
Sorry about not filling everybody in, but we don't want to get everyone's hopes up and than shatter them. I can only handle it for Shark and I. Besides, friends are always asking me, what's going on with the house? And all I can tell them is "We have no idea" or "We just aren't sure, she tells us it's going thru, but we're not sure." So yeah.... Hopefully things get better. We'll know soon.
I'll post pictures soon too, I promise. I have a few pictures of things over the past weeks, but no time (or patience) to upload them...
Love to all who have really really wanted something, and are having THE hardest time getting it!! ♥

Park, Plates & Stars
So yesterday after work, I took Bandit to the Dog Park. (I brought water this time, but he is a snob when it comes to bowls and water...) Basically all he did was run and run and run and he laid down to drink his water. He's pretty funny. One lady commented on how he prances, yeah he came like that. Nothing I can do about it. I told her, The vet told me I'd have a show dog if he could just keep his tongue in his mouth... They have tons of tennis balls at the park, and I would just walk around with the Chuck-it (still the best toy ever!) and pick up random tennis balls and then throw them for him and any other dog out there. He loves to run, that's his favorite!!
We registered the silver truck today. It didn't cost near as much as either of us were thinking it would! Which is totally a relief, you know, since we're trying to buy a house and all.... Plus, we finally got a Z!! (great for playing the Alphabet game on long trips....) I'm not going to take a picture of the plates, cuz then you can FIND me!! :) LOL! But I am excited to finally have Utah plates, no more crazy "tourist" stares! I really do know where I'm going!!
Last night after Shark got off work (he fogged until around 12:30am) I really wanted to go check out the Perseids Meteor Shower going on this week. I love shooting stars, and thing I remember about my childhood, is we'd go visit Grandpa Doyle's and Grandma Arlene's house and someone (that part I don't remember!) would take us up to this hill by the airport, right up by the spinning air traffic tower, and we'd park in this little church/cemetary parking lot and watch the meteor showers! Well, I wanted to go see the meteor shower this week, and last night was the night! Shark was dead tired, so pretty much I drove out west, just west of the City, and we parked by a little pond and laid down on one of the millions of blankets we always have in the truck, and watched the shooting stars! My awesome phone came with the Google SkyMap app, which Shark and I both agree, it is pretty sure the coolest app ever! When I hold my phone up the night sky, it'll show which constellations I'm looking at, where the horizon line is, which direction I'm looking at (or holding my phone towards) and the screen is very motion sensitive, if I hold my phone south, it shows what's in the southern sky. Last night I held my phone more northern, and it showed my Orion (that one's not hard to find, the dude has 3 stars in a row as his belt!). Although there might have been a glitch last night, I'd point it to the eastern sky and it showed the SUN well above the horizon line, which I know for a fact was FALSE! The meteor shower was great, we didn't see butt-loads of shooting stars, but we saw some pretty cool ones. We both saw one where the trail lasted for so long! It was pretty fun!
It was so nice to just sit and relax with Shark. And love stuff like meteor showers, and fun stuff like that. I really am a nerd. Oh, and if you're a nerd too, there's more info about the Perseids Meteor shower. It's still going on, but the peak was last night. It should go on until Saturday night or so. :) Enjoy!

Love affair with Blockbuster
So, pretty much, my Blockbuster account just got way more awesome than ever! Why, you ask? Oh because I can now rent VIDEO GAMES thru my Blockbuster Total Access account!! Cha!! I know! I'm so excited! When Shark and I lived in Colorado, we had our GameFly account. Well, it proved to be just too much for 1 gamer and 1 video nerd to handle. So, we cut the GameFly free, they temped me for months, offering deals if I came back. I had to put those emails in the JUNK folder!! Well, little did we know, that if we held out and continued to love out Blockbuster account, they would reward us with video games! I can now rent all those wonderful games that wave at me in Wal-Mart, the ones that look so sad because they are still in the store, and have no home. I can rent games rather than buy them, that way I'm not stuck with them if they bring a life full of disappointment and agony (*cough*WiiMusic*cough*) and now I can rent them, see if I like them and then lovingly put them on my Christmas list! No doubt involved in this process! So excited to try this out! Of course, there are some games that are on the list.
Like Lego Harry Potter (1-4) for starters!! I love all the Lego games, and Lego Harry Potter just looks freaking awesome. (Pretty sure the Collectors Edition is the one on my list!!)
And this awesome game called Boom Blox. We played this at a friend's house this past weekend {my arm still hurts, thanks guys!} and it's an up-to 4 player game where you throw balls at your opponents' castles, or you play Jenga to see who gets the most points (those were the only 2 ways we played, but it looks like there are more ways to play, something about creating a character!!)
Tetris Party Deluxe. This game is just awesome. We have friends that love this game, and everytime we were over at their place, so pretty sure we love this game.
WiiSportsReosrt! This game just looks awesome, I should have played it when I was back in Wisconsin, because the kids said it was freaking awesome.
Yeah those are just what's on my list so far.... :) The list will grow once we get cracking on this Blockbuster game rental. :)
Love to all who are undercover gamer nerds.... ♥

Churching it new
We had a family get together today, Shark's sister Jena is in town from Virginia. And we had to leave around 2:30, so we decided to go to Sacrament in our new ward rather than just go to Elder's Quorum/Relief Society in Steve & Heather's ward. So we just went to the first meeting (which is really the last meeting, it's backwards.) After the meeting, we walked down the pathway we'll take every Sunday to get to church, we walked past the house and then crossed the street and circled back. It was a very nice walk, we're right by the school and a big park, so we're happy about that! :)
I know I haven't given out an address yet. We're still crossing our fingers about the place. The lender agent keeps calling and giving us mixed signals. So, we feel like we're tossed up in the air,we I keep getting all amped up and so excited (I started planning out the bathrooms last night....) and then the lender agent will say something that makes me stutter-step and I get all sad.... I hate this rollercoaster. All I can say is that August is taking FOREVER!!!
**Ooh, so I totally forgot to tell how I made the Plates. I have tons and tons of fonts on my computer, because I have the Sure-Cuts-Alot program which allows me to cut out any image and font on my Cricut, but it nulls my Cricut Warranty. So, I started typing words out in Microsoft Word (I have over 600 fonts, and that makes my SCAL have to think extra hard and sometimes it freezes, so Word is better and safer to pick out fonts.) And then organized the words (in the fonts I wanted) on my SCAL, which has a program face exactly like the Cricut Design Center, and then added more pages, and cut and pasted in place all the words I wanted to be orange on one page, and then cut and pasted in place all the words I wanted blue on another page, and again with the green, so now I have 4 pages, and the FAMILY and the hearts I cut out on white cardstock. Yes, all the letters and words and hearts are cardstock. Not vinyl. I then placed the words where I wanted them to go on the plate, then Mod Podge'd them onto the plate where they 1) fit and 2) went. I then put a nice layer of MP over the top. This is NOT an eating plate, purely decorative. I could make it into an eating plate by using Diamond Glaze or a Clear Coat spray paint. Something to make the letters even with the plate. But I think I'll just put my plate on a shelf or hang it with a plate hanger.
(If you look at the word EAT in the top left corner....Yeah, that's the Mario font....)
Love to those who ask for patience, calm, and peace; for they are what is needed most in the world. ♥

grass and plates
So, I've been trying to not get too excited about the house, because it's still a might (I guess!). I've been trying really hard to not get way excited. I've thinking about furniture and kind of where I want to put things. {Although I can't really put things in places, cuz I haven't seen the inside in a while...) But in the process of doing all kinds of things in my head for the house, and getting ready, I decided to find which ward we'd be in, where we'd be going, and what time. Come to find out, the church is in the parking lot of the schools that are across the street! Yay for walking to church! Our church starts at 9, so that means we'll have plenty of time for a nap, and it still leaves a full day! So happy and excited! I also have an idea : there is this blog turned website called Knock-off Wood, and I am so excited to try and make some of the stuff from her site! My idea is to make some new furniture for our house! I'm trying not to plan too much, cuz then I get impatient and then just go right ahead and do it anyways. Shark and I are going to make a plan, and figure out a budget for decorating and creating things. :) I can make all the things I want, as long as I don't pay anything for them. {Trust me, I have ENOUGH stuff to make all kinds of things with!!}I was also looking back at all pictures of our CO house, and realized I have TONS of things to decorate our house with! I've got pictures and crafts, and cute little things I made while we lived there. And since I haven't changed my decorating scheme, my old decorations will work!! Yayayay for not changing my favorite colors!
For some reason, my head has a different idea about this house than is normal. In my mind, this house means, I'll have more time to do things. I know that's not true at all, but I think what my brain really thinks is, I'll have more space to do things, meaning, I can spread out and leave a project out over night. Now, I just feel like I take over all over Steve & Heather's basement, which I do.
Shark and I went shooting this morning. We went up Farmington Peak. Here are pictures:
Well, Shark is fogging tonight, and I just got season 3 of The IT Crowd from Shark's mom. But while I was watching it, I realized I needed something to do with my hands. I tried to find my black vinyl, I looked everyehere (I'm planning something for once we get into our new house!) But I had started to create an EAT plate (I found a whole bunch of plastic chargers at Wal-mart for .67 cents, so I bought them all, they are 12x12) and my EAT plate turned into a dining room plate.
And since I was in a "making" mood, I showed it to Heather, and thought it was cute, so I made one for her! Here's Heather's :
I've been thinking of all kinds of cute things to do in the house. This idea has stuck with me ever since I saw it about a year ago on some blog. I have a "frame" idea that is going to go in the living room, and this would be perfect around it.
Love to all who love ideas and creating! ♥

Hunter Safety
So, I signed up for hunter's safety a while ago, and realized that classes started this week, yeah they started on Monday at 6pm, I realized I was enrolled in the class something around 5:30pm on Monday!! Excited and nervous at the same time. Anxious too, we have alot going on this month. Yeah, it's been pretty crazy. We went to the lender, and she said she wants to close on the house by the end of the month! Things have been all kinds of crazy, I've been signing up for all kinds of things, and getting ready for all kinds of things. It feels like I have so much to do each day, but really, it's not that much, and it doesn't have to happen THAT fast! Sometimes I just have to sit down and say, Hey, relax, calm down, you still have some time. Which is NOT prograstinating! It's NOT! I call it De-Stressing! Anyways, Shark and I got pulled over on Friday, yeah. By an Officer-in-training! We didn't get pulled over for speeding or anything like "the usual" we got pulled over for the crack in the windshield! Ugh! So, we have to get that fixed within the next 2 weeks, plus we have to register our truck here. (We always wait until the current registration is almost up, then we register in the state we moved to.) {Wow, reread that last sentence, I made it sound like we have never lived in the same state for more than a year....Last year was the first year I put on the renewal sticker on my truck.} So I have been working on that.
I have been trying to fill my time with useful things, like work, like putting in resumes, like making little things, like cleaning up, like doing laundry... you know. For example, I got home last night, and I made a bucket of spaghetti (I was at the store and it was cheap and sounded amazing!) and I had bought all the supplies to make some more gummies for Heather (it was her birthday yesterday) so I got cracking on that. {Bandit was being helpful too, he saved from a cricket.... Ok, I didn't need saving, but he ate it anyway!} When I was done, I put the gummies in a tupperware thingy, and then went downstairs to watch my new rental, and wait for Shark to get home. I just got Sydney White in the mail from Blockbuster, and I have been wanting to watch it, so I did. Then Shark got home, and we went right to sleep.
I've been having a hard time getting to sleep lately, and an even harder time getting up! Which sucks big time, cuz I feel like my day is completely gone by the time I get up (once I get to work, I usually come home around 9 or so...) And I have been clenching my teeth lately too! I found myself clenching my teeth when we were watching Mulan the other night. Ok, it's not THAT scary of a movie, and I know how it ends, so what was my deal?! My MIL claims it's tension, and I believe she's right. I'm still nervous about the house. Just because they accepted our offer doesn't necessarily mean we got the house! There's still a chance that it's not ours. It drives me crazy to have someone amping me up (the lender lady) and then we keep getting faked out! Just tell us if it's ours already, no more jerking us around! UGH!
Hmm, so I believe I completely forgot to share my new haircut! It was last Thursday (when we found out about the offer being accepted!) that I decided to use my FREE haircut coupon (I found it in my truck at Heritage Days!). I went in with this picture :
(This is the 3rd time using this same picture, the 1st time I had great results, the 2nd time was EPIC fail, and the 3rd time was pretty awesome) and came out with this cute cut:
I love it! Although, I must say, it has been quite a while since I've had bangs, and I keep trying to twitch them off to the side (you've seen the skaters do it, the hair flip that is more like a twitch!) and they don't really go anywhere, so it just seems like I'm twitchy!
I will be very glad to finally have some time to work on my 101 in 1001. No, I have NOT forgotten!! It's just that things have been way crazy! But, if you look, buying a house with a fence is #34! So that one will be checked off as DONE once we move in!! :)
Love to all who have things to sing about! ♥
